I just changed my tyres, cos kena a huge nail. Definitely not free... :(

 

Anyone knows of a good waterproof duct tape or any suitable medium for my rear hugger which got whacked by the same nail and now, there's a crack at the side. :(

Not too keen to mend it or replace it, just need some good tape to stick it and prevent the crack from travelling further.

 

Advices please.

just a suggestion, try to ask from those diy pple for putty. spread the putty on the crack. sand it until even with the hugger or until you dun mind its looks. spray or touch up.

wah... nail! sad for u bro... how tires u got it replaced?

 

for ur rear hugger if u wan to diy and u wan duct tape thingy, maybe u could try those epoxy that u can get it from diy shop, seal up the cracks/holes then use those strong duct tape, color of your choice to cover it up... it should looks nice again if u dun mind seeing the taped signs...

I replaced the tyres already. The nail was more like a 8cm x 0.8cm rod.

Dont ask me how i missed it. :(

No choice, the damage was too big, almost flat tyre in 10 secs or so.

 

Replaced as a set since dun have the original Dunlop liao, and heng is the tyres reaching botak liao.

 

For the crack, got to look look see see which epoxy to buy and then duct tape over.

To send for mending and respray i dont tink is worth the $$$ liao.

 

Its a CB1300, I think. The big visual difference between that and CB400 is the size of the exhaust pipe. Damn huge compared to Super 4.

Also, the engine is different. You can see one.

The dual exhaust is the CB750, but that one I think only got naked version. At least those that are seen around Sg. Class 2 at SSDC are using those.

As one of the laziest biker around, I dont think I will putty it, then sand and respray...haha...

best is u drill a small hole and cable tie :)

 

thats what i did for my belly pan, when one of the mounting points broke...

- a pair of T10 10x LEDs for my pole light (damm powerful!)

I going to raid my cupboard and see if i can find any tape to fix up the thing first.

After that...if it stays on, then good.

Or else, I will re-tape it. haha...

 

By the way, the putty I seen in the stores, just get those that are meant for plastics will do, right? I've seen some, which stated that it is not meant for "Polypropylene and Polyethylene". I wonder if the rear hugger is made of those...

too poor for the Rhino..it's an inner coating, right?
