best u change engine oil/ spark plug/ coolant/ oil filter so u can start ur maintenance afresh. usuali at 100k will do valve clearance/change beltin/change gasket. duno whether ur previous owner has done tis..best u go to a mech to do a full body checkup

 

Hi guys I just got my fazer600 04

Model any tips to maintain this bike ?? Do I need to do any service cause when I took over the Milage is 130k km

Hi bros,

 

Have anyone of you met the pesky problem of bits of rust at the top end of the fuel tank inlet tube?

 

For the itsy bitsy rust on my fuel cap, I managed to work it off with Autosol. :D

But not too sure if it is safe to use at the fuel tube.

Please advise.

Check the air filter too.

A re-usable air filter like the K&N will save you $$$ in the long run.

hi bros, nid help, jus gt myself an akrapovic full system..took out the silencer and the sound still nt loud enuff, i saw and hear other fz1s louder, any idea how to make my exhaust louder? do give me some tips..

 

and another prob is, when warming up is loud bt after 70 degrees the sound nt constant,duno y

there's no head of the group or wadsoever but when u reach there after 9pm, u will noticed that a bunch of guys at the corner of the kopitiam will stare at u when u entering/parking... but in fact, they are friendly in heart... hehehehe... :angel:

new exhaust? if yes, still new la... u need some time for 'run-in' this exhaust...

sound not constant? could it be there's leakage?

u should be able to get it at $30+ or $40+ at automachinery or a little bit higher at bike shops that includes installations... oem ones should be good... :)

as mentioned, 2 ways of making your exhaust louder without doing mod to your exhaust:

1. ride for 1 mth or so for it to 'run-in'...

2. go touring from the south to the north of west malaysia and come back...

Re-fibre the exhast system.....

Bay will be able to advise you the proper way.

bro bender, jus ride more & worry less la... i guess u should know akra is not extremely loud & irritating exhaust maker system... or go for a 1 day TnG trip to Sadao... u will hear ur exhaust growl very very de bassy when u reach back SG... :)
