what if it reach above 101 when i off the engine?

Mine hit 101c yesterday and i wait till it drop to 99c than i switch off..

if it go up to 107c when i stop my engine how??

nothing will happen if you off your engine when the temperature is high or the fan is running.. but if your temperature hit above 105°C every time, it's time to check on your cooling system.. :)

HI Guys,

Any one riding FZ1 2008version. Can share with me the fuel consumption.

Mine 150KM jiu reach reserve liaoz. Is is norm?

Anyway to get better fc? My riding habit is safe rider, nv high rev my bike. 3000-5000rpm jiu change gear so powerband also seldom kicks in.

Keep wondering why my fc mileage so low.

Any advise guys?

it sounds very low.. it's just like how i rode my fz1 ('10 model) from GP Esso to Pagoh Shell in like around 45 mins.. else, normal riding will at least can last around 200km or more.. do you have some extensive power mods on ur bike?

underneath ur seat near to ur rear shock.. try to check for the level.. flush with new set of coolant if possible for initial troubleshooting..

Guys, I just got a FZ1 Carb model. I need to seek some advices from you.

1) Voltage; Voltmeter only display 12.7v when on the move, is it the rectificer problem ??

2) Odometer; Sensor might be faulty. Example, from Msia to Jurong about 23km, however odo only reads 16km. anyone experienced this fault before? How much is it to change the sensor ?

3) The original speedometer is measure im MPH (bigger font) and KMH (smaller font)?

4) What is the average distance to clock for a full tank??

Thanks for your reading !

looks like both of u got some kind of major issues tat i dun think answers provided here will be sufficient.. it might be a wide range of issues due to many factors..

are those 2nd hand bikes that you're owning? do you have the history of that the bikes had been thru from day 1? as in all mods & all servicing logs?

there's no way that the fc be affected if only aftermarket exhaust is installed..

ur voltage should display around 14v when on the move.. it means that ur battery are charging.. check on the lines of electricity..

ur odo sensor might be faulty or need cleaning or re-calibration..

fz1 carb version is gen1, not sure how u can change from MPH to KMH.. try checking ur owner's manual or go download if you doesn't have, or go google.. in this forum, the number of gen1 folks are v little.. might not be fast enough to reply u.. same goes for mileage for full tank..

hope this helps.. might be little thou.. cheers.. :)

Good Day to All, I am a new HAPPY owner of FZ1-S!!! I would like to ask, for the Side Mirrors, is it retractable?

Just as a example, if I am going to JB by Woodlands Causeway, since traffic is usually heavy, can I retract the Side Mirrors so that lesser chance for others to buang them?

I tried to turn the side mirror at the base near the wind shield GENTLELY but doesn't seem to have any effect. Worry that too much strength will break it if it is in fact not retractable.

Thanks in advance for any answers!!

No need to fold lah if at CIQ.. For me no problem even with panniers.. But not during those super heavy jam.. Yes its retractable but not advisable coz if often u open and close the mirrors, it will loosen up the mechanism..

Thanks for the information. Just had a bit of worry as when I was riding super 4 also encounter other riders hitting my side mirrors frequently. This bike's even wider. Your point do make sense not to open close it too much.

Could you also enlighten me what is CIQ? panniers?

Thanks~

Custom, Immigration n Quarintine aka Custom Checkpoint :) ... Used to ride it n as wat our bro advised, do not keep on "fold in n out" coz e mechanism will get loosen n to "cure" it is not simple job.. Missed my Fazera... But didnt regret to trade her for Akira, a proper tourer with panniers, adjustable windshield, traction control n best of all, its shaft driven :) ...

Air filter dirty? Do you have a PC installed?

If yes did you sent it for proper tuning it or download map from the web?

The PC will help to achieve good FC with proper tunning.

Hi guys, I have this issue that every time I ride off and change to gear 2 or 3, my bike stalls. Its persisting for quite a while already, I warmed up my bike and make sure the temperature stabilizes the idling at about 75degree before moving off. I have a akrapovic slip-on and just changed into a K&N air filter recently. I went to google online and happen to see a post from a caucasian (i believe) saying that it might be the wiring from my side stand switch that's affecting. Anyone any idea to enlighten me?

Colleague adviced me to "clear" my carbon as I usually ride at 3,000 RPM only unless I go on gear 5 do I cruise at 4,000 RPM.

2010 Model, should be Gen 2 model? Exhaust are on the sides.

ok... I went to Bikeworkz and got it done already. Now battery charging at 13.5v - 13.8v.

ur odo sensor might be faulty or need cleaning or re-calibration..

Ok.. so do I have to bring it back to Hong Leong or any Yamaha bikeshop??
