I'm considering getting a 2nd hand fz1s, maybe 2 or 3 years old which should be a gen2 bike right? Does anyone know what's the market rate now?

 

Is there a pg in this thread that give basic info abt this bike like

1. maintenance routine

2. recommended oil/plugs/brake pads/coolant brands etc

3. recommended mods

4. reliable workshops for servicing

5. known issues for this model/things to take note

Hi all fazerians bros! Am a newbie here so might need some of your expertise. Just got me a 06 FZ6S and what is troubling me is that when im riding and reach a certain rpm between 4-6k there's this grinding noise. Not sure where its coming from. Check with my bike shop mecs they said its not from the chain or sprocket. But what i assume is somewhere inside. Any bros experience this before can give a lil helping hand to my issue. Thanks!

Ahh problem solved. There was a part where my crash bar was not connected at the connection just behind the header soo it vibrates alot when at high speeds. Solution: Welded a screw mechanism to join back both metal part of the crash bar.

I just upgraded from s4 spec 1 for 1 mth past. Guess I'm in very good shoes to share with u.

 

YES!!!!! Do be gentle with e bike else it will throw u off!! HOLD ON TIGHT.

I was a S4 upgrader to FZ1 as well. V similar riding posture so you'll feel at home immediately. The only downside is right off, you'll feel a lot of heat on your upper thigh (below part) compared to S4... but soon you'll get used to it.

Anyway to mod the stock cans for FZ6? Would love the exhaust to growl if not make it loud. Can seng kwang do it or any other shop to recommend?

Not sure but my fz1 07 (digital) e fuel bar will start flashing and e milage meter will change to another text display. Usually e mileage text name is A, B or ODO.

I think the last bar on your petrol meter will starts to blink. That's where it has gone into reserve.

I don't have a picture for it but I saw someone thread-ing it, so I thought of getting it but i'm not quite sure if it works but as seen on this video, the ang moh says it works on '10 model as well. URL as below

FZ1S is a good bike.. Owned e 08 previously but sold it after in 2010 due to problem started to occur... My advise, do not mod, use it stock n enjoy e ride.. If u getting 2nd hand, hope u get a good bike n a good deal... E bike was mod for performance n I used to ride "aggressively" n tested e bike to its optimum until e con rod bearings shatterred n "burnt" e crank shaft... Now, riding e 2011 GTR14, its totally diff from e FZ1S especially when i dun have to clean e chain n sprockets anymore
