I am riding everything stock FZ1 09 and I can only reach 232km - 235km on main tank petrol. Riding style mostly on expressway and riding min

100km/hr and max 125km/hr.

bmc air filter, renzin voltage stabilizer and plug & go magnet at every spark plug cable.

 

I am wondering how ur friend with mod fz1 can get tt mileage. PLS share.

 

that's not me i think u r referring.. i also want to know how he get 260KM on main tank.. or r u referring to me?

Hi guys...

I was told that FZ1 fuel pump is inside the tank.

The clogged fuel filter is just probably incorporated with it.

Price to change out the whole assembly.....$600plus!!

Suspect my fuel tank cap has water leakage when rain.

So please take note for any rust inside your tank or fuel tank cap.

Change it before any rust or water clog up the fuel filter.

Thought thats a common problem for fazer? Water can sip in through tank cap. Best is to put tank bra with velcro fuel cover.

had my tyres changed recently and the problem surfaced.

 

was previously running on michelin pilot power road 3,now on to pilot power 2ct.

 

my mechanic says its the "weight change" as it got lighter for the new tyres and im not used to it.

 

but with this kind of "headshake," im afraid ill thank slap first before ever getting use to it.

 

is there anything i can look out for by myself that is out of the ordinary?

headshake? you mean like mini tank slap or similar?

 

was wondering, what is the setup of your bike? do you have boxes installed?

Bro, I have got a tank bra on but with regards to the velcro fuel cover that you mentioned. I been looking for it for a while. Any enlightenment from you? so i can safe guard the corrosion/fuel pump repairs. Cheers.

CMIIM, OEM belly pan is around $600 in HL.. if u dun mind a replica piece, go search in eBay, around $200 only..

fz1000 gen1? there are quite a few brands available.. u tried google-ing on what is available in the market? tell us what u like and we could probably tell u where to find..
