advice on honda nsr's petrol consumption

Reserves starts at after 8l.. For me before reserve the max i went was 220km. My avg FC per pump is 27km/l.. I went to tune the air/fuel ration and also reduce the fuel jet. Mine engine is stock.. For my bike to hit 24km/l confirm is prob le.. Another this is also see how you ride it... I will change gears at 4k rpm and try not to drag gears unless the cars keep blocking me..

yup he's probably right. roughly

 

reserve is around 2.7L so total with full tank is 8L+2.7L which adds up to around $20 when pump

no, the problem is i pump about 2 km after going reserve only n i got 10-11L till full tank of petrol...dun tell me dat the pump in petrol kiosk is inaccurate...

i got once fill ard 10.+L. but that is when i was kinda dry.

 

usually i pump up to the brim is ard 9L+.

 

mine gets reserve ard 180click.

 

then can go up to 210.

 

my style is relac change gear ard rpm 5 and 80% of the time in expressway ard 90km/h at a constant speed of 80~100km.

cos thats the max amount of petrol we've filled before.

 

to some, empty = hit reserve.

to some, empty = left 1-2litre.

to some, empty = really empty.

 

and the word, filled to the brim is also subjective.

i think 10.5L without reserve.

reserve has around 2.7L.

i think its your carburator, because for my 125z when i bought it from the ex-owner it was sucking me 10 - 15 km/litre due to a re-bore carburator which gives the bike better acceleration. I think you should start by checking out your carb. Hopes this helps =)
