bro/sis, still thinking about what instructor said to me today .. what is the exact order of things that should be done before making a turn from a standstill?

 

ok let's say i'm making the first right turn after proceeding from the test start point. do i:

(1) check back, check left, check right, then move off; or

(2) check left, check right, check back, check right again, then move off; or

(3) something else?

 

i know it's not supposed to be a question asked by someone going to do prac8, but no one has told me that the way i check blindspots is all wrong before :( not sure how come he passed me prac 7 today, but after hearing his comments, i'm thankful he did.

first, lemme get this clear to u... check back = either checking on ur right OR left..

 

for RIGHT turns, its always checking back to the RIGHT side ONLY!

for LEFT turns, its checking back to the LEFT AND RIGHT BOTH!!

 

im saying this becoz, take an instance for ur Figure-8 and crankcourse, b4 u enter in, u'll need to check back to ur RIGHT AND LEFT(ur making a left turn inside..thats y).

 

so the first right turn after the test start point, u check back to ur.....? hope u get it =)

yes checking behind u...either on the right or the left.

u really are confused...haha. its k...

blindspot is for checking while ur on the move...like for changing lane or

before making turns.

 

Checking back is for checking while ur stationary. Hope u get the difference?

yup for LEFT turns, while ur stationary, u will need to check RIGHT then LEFT. Im not particularly sure if it's a difference between RIGHT LEFT or LEFT RIGHT...check with the instructor in case.

jus remember, when ur making turns when ur STATIONARY(Provided ur the first vehicle to do the turn), u always check BOTH left and right.

due to the area there is being blocked by walls. u will be required to chck right den inch out abit..

 

at the moment if u are turning left check the traffic at main street tat is clear, check right den left den move off...

 

if you are turning right den inch out den check traffic (clear) den check back right move off..

 

during rainy days try not to make sudden movement.. and allow a longer braking distant..

this is one scenario i really hate...

if u see alot of cars, dun need to change lane from left to right after the bend... u must change the lane before the bend...ALWAYS LOOK FAR. thats wat the tip was from the instructor who told me.

 

once in prac 8, i failed due to immediate failure as i had changed lane after the bend, when the cars were all together in one straight lane...i had to cut one car... i dint realise it was an immediate failure until my lesson ended..

 

ask more qns from ur instructor if ur in doubt dude! =):thumb:

wonder how bhh prac8 went ... mine didn't go so smoothly :( imm. failure coz leg came down. thought instructor would close one eye since everything else was ok .. but nope. even if i got 12pts, still 1 immediate failure. :(

leg come down, depends on where. your right leg or left leg fall? where?

 

during my TP , my right leg came down, RIGHT INFRONT of TP's EYES ... but i kena point for wobbling when moving off and stopping, which was the reason why my right leg fell uhs. so during practs i believe it's more stricter.

 

frankly, i gave up during TP coz i just came out from the starting point then right leg fell. thankfully, passed with low points. kekeke ...

right leg came down at right turn on road .. coz i inch inch inch .. then befoer i know it, unstable, right leg came down :( .. think i too fat .. centre of gravity thrown off way too ezily .. must .. stop .. eating .. mee .. rebus .. everytime .. i .. go .. cdc ....

i got 2 immediate failures and 26 demerit points.

 

i hit the kerb at figure 8 and brushed the pylon.

 

made mistakes that never happened before.

 

waiting for friday for retake.

things like these happen bro, i had to take 4 times..LOL.

i tot i could clear the 2nd time...everything was going gd...

until the last right turn near the manhole..i turned right and suddenly an old uncle cyclist came straight pass me. I had to sudden break... i didnt notice him coming across..

 

arghh. i then appealed with the instructor...he said see how.

then when results came..i failed. lol with 6 pts and 1 I.failure.haha..

hopefullly u wont take 4 times..gd luck on the nxt time though! =):thumb:
