SBF Piaggio MP3 Cafe 2009

hi to all,

 

Can any experts advice me on the following 2 bikes?

 

compairing sw 400 to mp3 400

 

Consumption which is better?

 

Comfort which is better?

 

Space which is better?

 

price difference?

Yes, I've just got my MP3 and I would say it's fun riding it!!!

 

But I hear some clinking sound when i move off (under 30 km/h). Sounds like something is loose underneath. Is this normal?

sound like a loose ball bearing 'flying' inside the engine?? Same here. Brought to Piaggio this afternoon and was told its normal (for 125cc) when in idling position. once you accelerate it will be gone.

Skidded over a pool of water @ PIE heading Changi after heavy rain. Just lost control to avoid vehicles in front slowing down over a pool of rain water.... Just my ass luck.... In all happened in a split second... Almost got hit by a taxi coz when I was skidding, I happen to look at a taxi still approaching towards me and when it finally stopped, my shoe just touched it's front tyre... Close shave.... I am ok except for abrasions here, there and everywhere and my left hip still hurts a little from getting the 1st impact onto the road.... Other than that, I'm pretty much alright...

As for the bike, damn! The handle bar is bent and I still don't know the extent of the front damages.... The rest are just scratches on my right side of the bike..... Just waiting to get 'em all fixed.....

Luckily for me, there were 2 kind souls; a man and another lady who helped me a lot to get my damaged bike out of the lanes and the lady, a ms Doreen, who happens to live a few blocks away from my place helped to bandaged me up and even send me back in her car with all my barang-barangs back to my place. I will never forget her and the other man.... Thank you a lot, guys....(if you happen to read this)

Glad that you are ok, albeit some abrasions but they will heal with time. Raining day makes the road slippery and traction is much reduced, safer to put more distance between you and the vehicle in front.

 

Hope your MP3 damage is only comestic since it didn't take any knocks.

Yes, definitely sounds like a "loose ball bearing"... in fact, the sound comes around when I close the throttle after moving off. Kinda irritating!!

 

Does other Piaggio scooters have this problem?

Updates....

Maybe they nv reset the meter..well,tt's just my guess..

ya, prob they didnt reset the counters. Dont worry, if you have done your servicing, thats fine. The light-up goes by mileage, its just a fyi indication.

It's a service interval ICON.

 

To reset:

 

With the key in , hold down the "set" button, then turn the key to on at the same time. the icon should start flashing. press and hold down the clock button for more than 3 secs and the icon should be reset.
