Amba u ever try to do a meter power-cut off a CB400 Spec2? Want to try? My friend wanna do his but a shop told him $140... Crazy or what...

Yea.... S4 (Vtec1 onwards) speedo/rpm instrument assy has delicate electronics inside...unlike RVF's which has no electronics...only electro-mechanics. Typical destricting of RVFs only involves bending a piece of conductor inside the speedo or adding a 1.5 ohm resistor btw the speedo and cdi wirings...

 

for S4....it may be a little complicated than that....coz there are electronic cards inside the instruments..that is why SHark's fren got quoted 140 to do the job..probably invloves soldering job?

 

Amba....think you should come up with a indemity form for your customers to sign before u begin any work also...just to cover yr rear man. hehe. just a tot.

ok, there is a list of 3 now. i will be going down to get the speedos tomorrow after work. inst can be done tomoorow itself. one bike takes about 10 mins.

the sigma digital speedo is 30 bucks a set. the model is bc800.

there is also bc1200 at 40 and bc1600 at 50. but i feel the 800 is enough as got trip dist, trip time, clock, speed, importantly max speed.

 

how about 40 plus installation.

He spent 1.9k on the paintwork which included re-moulding of the front fairing($300 with the spotlight).The sun sticker on the tank was airflown from Italy(serious!).2 layer lacquering.Finish is very good.Ya,the only thing that spoils the look is the air intake holes(I win him this part:cheeky: )

 

The reason why the pillion footrests are there cos he still has to pillion around his gf.She was damn pissed cos need to share seat(oso not enuf space).Thats why i would prefer to mould an RCV seat with pillion seat(like CBR600RR/1000RR).Already recommeded the carbon kevlar engine armor to him.

Ya,i think that would be a problem.Maybe can put near the ignition switch?

no, he is in street 90 something and i'm in 42. quite alot of bus stops away.

shay!! or any lao jiao here... pls help me!! y suddenly these few days my bike heat up easily? juz a normal ride to sembawang from amk... the needle reaches very near the H. and juz now when i reach home.. i can hear boiling water sound.. its somthing like few drops of water on a metal lid. then burning it from below.. its that sound!!!!
