guys, heard about the grounding before. some say noticeable. some say its just dyno numbers. i think its worth paying even for a 1 hp increase.

someone under hands on section mentioned its possible to be done with high quality speaker cables. being in electrical field myself, i theorotically feel he is right. speaker cables have very low impedance(resistance) hence able to provide direct ground to those excess leaking current.

i am gonna try that method myself. not sure how to remove the petrol tank. how?

anyone knows the price for the front brake discs and the EBC HH pads? i got a warped disc.

Disc quite ex...

heard is hundred over bahts...

EBC cost around $50 for a caliper..

Good Day Force V4 members,

I hope you guys enjoyed your festive holidays and didn't get into trouble. (kidding). Ok, a little announcement.

First I would like to introduce to you Force V4 OCSG's commitee members which I have handpicked to facilitate our club for all future events and activities. As I said before, I alone cannot make the success of this club happen and what we need is a few good men (and women). So without further ado, allow me to introduce the members.

Shay - Victor

Filbert

DJ Absolute - Darren

Lacrimose - Lawrence

Ghost Rider77 -Sean

Daprei81 - Daphne

These commitee members have no titles or positions because I don't think its necessary. Rather, we are all to contribute to make this club an enjoyable place for V4 riders and beyond.

We have met (except Sean) and discussed the 31st December outing and decided that instead of a regular meetup which is going to be difficult because on that day, its going to be jammed and full everywhere.

I am proposing a meetup with makan. Actually we have two choices, either organise a BBQ or cater or order take out (Pizza, KFC). The idea is that since the last very successful meeting, a makan get together will foster the bonds of all the riders and get to know each other better.

DJabsolute has kindly offered the use of his premises at Hume Park condo. The place I reckon is a really nice poolside big enough to host more than 50 people. There is an underground carpark that can hold the same amount of bikes.

There will be small fee of $10 for the food as we do not have a fund going yet. Those who feel they can contribute with food or drinks please PM either me or DJabsolute. The other news is that I have invited the VFR Group and SBF Lady Riders as well so it should be quite a gathering. After the meeting and food, there will be riding time with a route I have planned.

Please do come, add your name below.

guys and gals, i contacted the guy regarding the ebc hh pads. even with mass order, his final price is 45. what is the market price for a ebc hh?

also, i noticed one online shop distributing ebc brake discs. anyone can confirm such a product?

some of u guys and gals may have come across this as i am not the only technical gig.

the theory of making ram air for carbed engines is that the carbs pressure must be the same as the air pressure at the venturi

the proper way of doing it like most race bikes do is that the vent pipes are connected to the airbox. the vent holes are also drilled bigger do house more inlet pressure

i came across this custom airbox manufacturer from norway where his theory is to house the entire carbs into the airbox. that way the air pressure surrounding the carbs would be the same as the pressure at the venturi

this guy made a carbon fiber air box. in singapore we have our ever famous first motor doing fiber glass.

does anyone here support this theory?

alot of us including myself is afraid to experiment large sums of money on bike. like 150 for earthing cables.

i suggest if club v4 becomes successful, maybe there should be a small treasure fund. say there are 30 rvfs. that way we fork out 5 bucks each. and we have 150 for the earth cables to be tested on an ok bike, not on some hp problem bike. compared to spending 150 and not getting results, i say 5 bucks is a good investment. when we see results, we can MO a similar product from abroad and try the inst based on the guinea pig bike.

like the airbox theory, we can request first motor to mould the first box based on dimensions and have the bike dyno tuned. in a case like this, the bike to be tested must be almost not legal at all. then, we can request for a reasonable price from first motor. we can also create chart of jet sizes based on different exhaust systems which can be used for future reference.

just a suggestion.......

Hi,

read about this on a foreign webby too.

Its similar to the NC30 HRC setup for the airbox. They manafactured a huge aluminuim airbox undertray that emcompasses the carbs and no airbox lid becoz the entire area above the carbs/undertray assy act as the airbox cover with the underside of the fuel tank lined with a heat insulater.

This of course allows the engine to breathe in fresh cool air in abundance with no filter resistance to airflow at all.

However the setup is meant for racing and track use only. Run this setup on a streetbike and you may end up with a badly tuned and overly lean engine without its HRC compatible jet kits. Not to mention....open airbox concept means no air filtration to prevent dirt, little pebbles, bugs, sh*t from the road gettin thru to yr carbs.

guys and gals, i thought of a simple block diagram like this. petrol consumption should be more, but the power will be enormous. malaysia petrol still cheap

the air filter could be flat bed or a conical extreme top filter mounted right at the air ram. some genius should come out with a calculation for the size of the airbox

so which are the grounding points?

I think the "coolant" part u refer to is the Radiator like Moriwaki's bike right?

i think its like the "2 body" that u are refering to..or properly termed as chasis. Like i said..as long as the grounding points used has continuity with the bike's battery negative terminal cable end ( not on the battery itself!).... then in all electrical sense...it should work.

Way to verify continuity; use a multimeter (for heaven's sake switch to OHMs (?) setting) , put one end of the probe to the desired grounding point and the other probe to the battery negative terminal wire.

Some trick is required in measuring the terminal cable..... either get a crocodile clip to "kiap" the connections together or get a fren to hold the probe to the negative terminal cable (bare hands must not touch the probe's metal or the cable's terminal lug or you'll het extra ? readings)

if reading is = 0.01 ? --> 0.09? (the lesser the better) then the grounding point u chose is a verified true ground. anything more than 1? , forget it as it is termed as bad continuity in electrical bible.
