its kinda funny, some of the older rvf riders have other shops to go to than knt. the new ones all go there. *shrugs*

first motor is okay lar, their workmanship.. quite okay if you're servicing ur bike but the stuff they mould i think abit heavier than normal right? is the moulding in jb the same?

And mr Raven goes to Extreme right?? :cheeky:

Me, i'm still servicing my RVF at the place where Shay did for 2 years.. Bike runs like a dream.. I like the mech's work there.. very clean, fast and efficent.. Price is good also..

I know Clifford at K&T.. he's nice.. I'd probably leave major stuff like Valve clearance etc to him.. Minor servicing, repairs.. My own mech is compentent enough..

FM, i guess you need to know what you want to do, then can get exact price.. Their mouldings are quite good from what i see.. Weight wise, i dont know..

Thanks a lot I have so many questions la cus just only got my rvf... Thanks.........:thumb:

Go to Motorworld..

1stly, dont waste money on gear indicator.. They are quite delayed in action at times..

Also the meters on FM's bike are abt $480.. 2 pieces of each $240.. one for speedo other for RPM.. and alot of other functions.. Sold at motorworld..

Hi fellow V-4 owners, I own a VFR and so I hope that I can join in your group discussion,

Some people have a weird problem of always looking at the temperature gauge, I am one of them , I mean I look at the temp every time I stop at a traffic light etc... also when traffic is slow

My question is that in some slow traffic , what is the most a VFR or RVF temp should be ?? My is farenheit NOT Celcius , I know Celcius boiling point is 100C , so what do most of your bikes doing , if anyone can help in Farenheit better still , my goes to as high as 242F , I have checked my bike, change to the best coolant, fan is working etc...... so is 242F normal ???

Thanks buddies !!!! V-4 is FUN !!!!

I agree with Adidas on whatever he says..

Which is why i'm not wasting my time and money on a 2brothers endcan which so many ppl are seemingly after, yet i doubt it makes a huge difference..

And the full system is sooo overpriced man.. I rather save up, and buy the Tyga full system.. That's my target for this year..

I hate to say this, but guys, pls.. Dont be fooled by this 2brothers endcan.. Many ppl are exploiting this need by selling the endcan so expensive.. Come on la, the last yr of it's production was 1998.. At that time, full system cost abt $1200... That's 8 yrs ago..

Spend your money wisely, is what i say.. Dont be seduced by what other people say.. My firm belief is that with proper tuning and settings, all endcans shld roughly perform the same!

If the scenario is just changing the end can, I can understand why the 2bros are that famous.

I believe is due to the US made C-series, which is very rare in S'pore. Think due to that pipe, it causes some ppl to think that all 2bros pipes are so superb.

Another possible reason might be the sound I think. Many ppl think the louder the sound, the more powerful your bike is...

Btw, some info for interested RVF riders, the leo vince pipe is approved already. Got some feedback from a S4 rider that the performance is better than a Yoshi Firespec. I'm trying to get more details to his meaning of "better"... :D

clocked by a cl2 bike at arnd 215km/h with a 15/40 525 chain (ya i know.. chain too big)..

i think 239km/h is really unbelievable... 220-225 i suppose i'll believe it of a relatively stock bike with stock (15/38) gearing.. maybe meter not very zun? that extra 20km/h is... wow?

i dont know. i dont have a good experience at knt heh. used to frequent there but i'll never go there again. and yeah, i do go to xtreme ^^ way better than knt imho :>

oh btw, i kinda feel the gear indicator is quite useful at times. at least i know when its at 6th gear (have it on my r6) wonder if my nsr can install it even thou i dont have the speed sensor thingie anymore... hmm.

i hit 230km/h on 40T rear. 15.2k rpm.

38T is a bit hard, unless your bike got mod for power. Got trouble hitting 13k.

Well I guess I have to wait for the pop to arrive in March only. Why hunter cannot use huh ? doesn't fit well is it ? As for the digital speedo and rpm gauge is there a need for an electrical upgrade...??? After market pipes I heard la that micron is supposed to be very good as compared to yoshi firespec, no idea about the leo vince wan..? heard micron easy to remove the silencer as well just can use an allen-key to take out....are all these street legal?? Prices?? Shops that sell these?? What about sprockets and chain ? sizes? brand? what suites best for pick-up as well as top end speed?? currently using kenso jetting, heard there is some kind of projet which is suppossed to be powerful??? any suggestions ???

Guys so so sorry for all the many many questions I am so new to this bike..... Appreciate all your great advice...Thanks again in advance.....:help: :thumb:

was it a 16t or 15t front sprocket? what mods you did on ur bike?

was the guy who clocked you using stock sprocket sizing?

truthfully im feeling a lil skeptical cause i used a 40t on rear before too and i could not hit that kinda speed. unless its a really really REALLY long straight? i cant really remember what rpm i was at (it was almost 2 years ago), but i suppose it was around 14k-ish rpm?

I wonder those bikers who mould their fairings to that completely different from stock how they pass yearly inspection? Every year "everything out everything in", ie, change back to stock for inspection then change back to mod ones? Or is there some back door ways?

I'm really considering the TYGA Tiger Eyes III fairing set if I got the money but scared have to change every year for the inspection. I know there's one RVFian in S'pore that use the full set tyga fairings. Saw it at motorworld some months ago. Wonder how he managed to pass the inspection.

Bro which bike shop is that, the FP sounds better as it comes with coe and all... but which bike shop huh..... Pls don't tell me Albert motors, they very good at taking in and selling bikes at high prices, but their aftersales service is very very bad. Am personally suffering a very bad experience from them. Alot of PPL here and other bikers know about that place also. Take your time look around, test the bike or get someone to test for you if you not sure. Only sign the transfer and collect the bike once all the agreements have been met.... Thats my 2 cents worth..... :thumb: :goodluck:
