the chip is the same as shorting the sensor....

the only difference is, shops wont put resistor if they short the sensor......the so called chip has a resistor inside.

why need resistor, to protect the cdi.

i add resistor too. cost of resistor - 1 dollar

practical: when im takin a long corner..my bike's stable to take take the bend. but when i take like a sudden corner..more like normal main road turn into minor road kinda sudden small turn...i feel my front turns in faster (both sides) than it used to...more like i feel the front pullin me down in a weird way..n should i follow the momentum i drop lower than i tot id go...*sorry if dreamin..but the bike seems to have a slight skiddin kinda feeling

sorry but thats the only way i seem to be able to explain wats happenin..n if the theory given about the let go handle thing is true..then fyi..my bike runs perfectly str8 when ridings hands off

any idea any1...cos cny is comin..n i know i dunt wana put my bike in shop n wait long long...im pretty comfortable wif the bike in every aspect..then that when i go like seriously takin a corner..the above mentioned happens. if i take it like a normal sunday breeze..then perfectly fine.

and issit me..or am i noticing more potholes on every other road?

advice guys..appreciate

I dunno the exact answer to your problem but I think it might be your suspension setup, ie. Preload and rebound rate. Find a good mechanic and feedback him the problem and see after he adjust for you is there improvement a not.

I did have funny feeling during cornering a while ago. While having the rear shocks rebuilt, Bikelab tested the setup and told me my front fork rebound rate too slow. After that cornering feels good again.

By the way you did not just change tyres to Bridgestone 090 did you?

240? wow. stock rvf? im really impressed now. please can you show me? ok lah as i mentioned im quite skeptical about it, but if you show me i'll prolly believe it. then i'll believe my friend riding a cbrL model was doing 250km/hr when he overtook me at 2nd link last time  i really thought a stock geared one could only do around 220ish max. thou it had to be in very good stock condition. sry ah, maybe i suaku.

mods are not only for acceleration. mods are for more POWER which translates to more acceleration of course and more power to push the bike at higher rpms to hit 'higher speeds'. and blah blah blah blah blah more FC blah blah blah...

oh yah, just to add, zod and ahbit83, u mind putting ur signature pics side by side? it really covers 1 full screen lah of the monitor.. easier for everyone to read dont you think so?

Hey Raven,

I'm also abit surprised that RVF can hit 240 in stock condition..

So far my bike, with my Laser endcan, i managed to get the needle at the km/h mark.. I didnt try further than that.. no more road.. I didnt see my RPM then, but i wasnt at full throttle yet.. I still felt the bike had abit more to go..

That was the only time i ever tried top speed.. You should know my bike condition, if RVF can hit 240 in stock form, i'm going to be very happy..

However, i still feel that mods do play a big part to get top speed.. Or maybe it's just that like what Zod said, they get you there faster..

Hi guys, was just reading your posts. I am rather new to my RVF so there is so so much to learn. My bike is being taken care of my K&T now and they are real super busy so maybe only getting it back after CNY. Sianz... What's a red rev and what does it do ??? Does it make a difference if you mend the metal piece to remove the powercut or if you short the sensor (which sensor?) ?? Does bending the metal or shorting the sensor affect the CDI.?? Thanks broz......:help:

I wonder those bikers who mould their fairings to that completely different from stock how they pass yearly inspection? Every year "everything out everything in", ie, change back to stock for inspection then change back to mod ones? Or is there some back door ways?

I'm really considering the TYGA Tiger Eyes III fairing set if I got the money but scared have to change every year for the inspection. I know there's one RVFian in S'pore that use the full set tyga fairings. Saw it at motorworld some months ago. Wonder how he managed to pass the inspection.

Bro,

I think you talking thet blue white RVF?

I know 1 guy who moulded something like that Tyga set at First Motor.. NOt tat difficult to swap each time..

But if you put the tyga set, it's very tedious. Have u read the instructions to fix??

You have to make alot of adjustments, reposition the meters etc. Not easy man..

Any mech will die..

Me, i'm just going to mould my own custom design at First Motor and save myself the hassle..

No bro. I saw one RVF using Tiger Eyes Fairings with Molded Ducati headlights like Amba's one. Rossi Repsol Design Paintwork, the Yellow/Orange one. That is one bike you wouldnt want to miss on S'pore road. When I saw it my jaws almost dropped!

hi bro

i thik can share something wif u on this through my experience.

my rvf had that problem also.. it was due to the fork oil leaking.

My left side was leaking tats why i corner left my bike go down faster.

It can also be ur tyres also. maybe wearing out unbalance.

aniwae normally u ask the mech they will find it out for u .

or steering cone plays apart too.

sorrie if i wrong. but when my problems occurs.. my mech look at theres areas.

Hope it helps.

Guys,

I might be buying the below security screws to deter parts theft. I'm still fed up with the previous theft incident. However the screws comes in a box of 100 pcs and I only need the most 10 pcs. Anyone interested in sharing with me? The screw size is M6 x 12mm length. Price is less than $1/pc.

http://img-asia.electrocomponents.com/images/C233976-01.jpg

I also checked with the seller but they only sell it hex keys in a set as shown, approximately $35/set. Standard sizes so can use on normal hex screws too.
