hey guys was wondering something.. mine rvf seems to be leaking some engine oil or some other substance when i park my bike.. and it does not smell like petrol do you know wat is the problem. can some body advice me if you had this problem before. i went to the motor shop the mech told me is a rubber shield or something but when i change that it still leak drop by drop; dunno why also.

Do a visual inspection on where the leak coming from... Most probably the engine gasket or head gasket gone...

ta ma de... just change my batt and rectifier last sat, now bike cannot electric start again... wth... anyone give some advices? think the bike is wirings problem too... my previous bike change batt and rectifier 6 months once.. this bike worse...

Actually, when your bike has a problem, there are sounds that it makes that gives you clues that might narrow itself down to the real problem.

 

You say "cannot electric start" so I assume the motor doesn't turn and the engine doesn't crank at all. But are there other sounds when the button's pressed?

You go bike shop check ur rectifier connector and the right hand hand side of your bike got another connector use 30A fuse 1 these 2 areas everytime the connectors get burnt 1. If u electric start still got the cranking sound ur carbon brush inside the starter motor is ok

hmm.. okay bro.. on the left side of the engine, at the gearbox, where ur gear shift rod is connected. if i can rem correctly, its directly beside the body frame. check over there oily or not. cos most prolly its from there. there's an o-ring at the gear shift lever there. prolly need to change the o-ring liao if its seeping EO from there.

hmmmm.. i see because i ask the mech than he says is that rubber seal worn out or something. i change it already but it is still leaking. my rpm have also start to be unstable in idle mode. dunno why also .

hi guys where can i find workshop with leds light like blue or other colour to fix on my rvf? which is cheap and gd.which wedsite i can look for seeing paint work sample so that i can choose it and bring it to yeow motor for resprint.

Its either tuning or worst scenario : engine wear n tear. Last time my fren had same problem; even after fully servicing carb, prob persists. Shop say prob valve/engine got slight wear n tear. Dunno if that was true coz he sold the bike already. Maybe u try tuning 1st.

If it's a gasket problem, best to change everything when u do a valve clearance. So you dont have to pay for the extra labour..
