Time for me to ask the guru

What about a very soft clickety-clackety rotational sound while riding that sounds more noticeable once the RPM goes higher and goes away when throttle is cut?

I've heard accounts of people having increased chain wear due to WD40 usage. My friend even told me that frequent usage of WD40 on his chain made it stretch over time at a very fast rate.

These are just the individuals' personal accounts...might be true/false. I'd rather use true lube products as stated on the bottle, if you were to ask me.

$190 only? I dont think so. aAl the plates + E.O. shld hit ard $250-260.

And generally, I motoring is Ex by $5-15. If u r going, check the prices at HLK, etc in the same area.

Darkness is the soul that knows itself not.

$190 is really very under-priced.

They never change everything (ie. reuse those that are still usable)?

They gave you cheaper EO (semi)?

Or you really know the ppl there so well that they give a good discount or never factor in labour charge?

Anyway, sounded kinda weird cos usually shops will change the gasket also. Maybe its just me...

Melvin, just my opinion... no offence

Regarding the ticking sound that some of you guys experienced:

If the sound only occurs during warm up AND comes from below the tank area, most probably is you very long time never do valve clearance. Its most likely a small case so no worries.

If it persists, get louder after warmed up at 6k revving, AND comes from your engine block or crankcase, my advise is to go let a professional mechanic check it out and play safe.

Relax bro, I never say I don't believe you. Probably it's just as you said - you changed a lot of things one shot so probably the shop nev charge you for labour or gave you a discount.
