Hey bros, i wanna ask something.. Went to view a rvf tdy..

 

the owner on the spot rev n clear rpm meter in neutral gear.. Does it mean his bike shouldn'd have alot of problems??

 

is oil leaking from front suspension normal?? will it be difficult to fix??

 

his bike fq plate, outlook overall not too bad, i ask shop to reloan, coe + interest + admin will add to 8k+, machine price 6k.. is it a good deal??

hmmm.. it leak on the fork itself.. a lil yellowish, mainly colourless..

Yellow? Not too sure...

 

If it's colourless neon pink or green, and there's a puddle of water the size of five 50-cent coins (agar agar) when the bike is left running, then it's probably a coolant leak. There may be a puncture in the coolant line, or that the pipes (of the coolant line) aren't secured properly.

 

CAUTION: Remember, never ever open up the coolant cap right after the bike has been ridden. The cap may burst open and boiling coolant can spurt out.

Happened to me before, even though the bike was switched off for 5 minutes after a 5km trip.

Additional FYI: I've had mechanics seal up the coolant line pipes with heat-shrinkable PVC (those used to wrap clothes bamboo poles) before. That is the cheapest and NOT a recommended way to solve the problem as the coolant runs at scalding hot temperatures of 97°C across the pipes.

 

And of course, if they charge you so much but do the abovementioned, then you've been carrot-chopped.

8% veri high le..but if u like the bike den go for it..newae last wk or wat i saw quite a few rvf at bukit merah..got 1 outlook veri nice original paintwork..u might 1 to consider going over dere to look ard 1st..

1 thing i dun understand... y must he rev till red line to ensure u the bike is in good condition?? fyi that doesnt means anything to whether the bike is in good condition or not... but if u like the bike go for it

This bike owner was the one who i previously asked whether u all know anot? coz he's very lau lan. blow at own rvfians. only later part then came to realised that it's my fren's fren.
