Guys, how do I tell if my rear susp is too soft? Apparently, when my gf and me after clearing the 1st link msian customs, there will be like 3 humps right after the counter. I can clear 1st and 2nd hump, but at the 3rd hump, even if i roll slowly, i can always hear my susp "bottom out". Even at bugis junction basement carpark, will sometimes bottom out also. All at really slow speed.

I'm 60kg, and my gf is 36kg.

Is this due to insufficent gas/liquid in the susp, or too soft susp settings? If so, how do i go about adjusting it?

 

Oh, and regarding the car jack to lift our bikes, i finally tried it. Saved a great deal of time and sweat. But the thing is, the exhaust pipe (right at the bottom) is the one in contact with the jack. Should I jack it via the swing arm? And also, do I need to place a piece of wood in between the jack and the bike?

intended to just full service it, den came the voltage stabilzer n grding, factory jet , removal of termostat, change filter,plugs, eo flush coolant and some misc items. got up to that sum. cant say whether its on the high side, but cliff is good no doubt. very satisfied first time customer. chris broke down all the cost and list it to me even ask me to ride slowly cuz now up power. lol. he dedicated his sat to finishing my bike when other shops would jsut ask me collect it in a few days. 2 thumbs up

anyway brO which bike shop open on sunday?(today) , my starter button spoilt . just now at msia suddenly cannot start. NV EVEN CRANK . den i push start den can ride without problem . wonder wat's e problem. i wanna go check and get it fix cos tml got camp

erm if i am not wrong. backfire is not good.

backfire is the cost of improper tuning and improper combustion.

thats what i know la.

i am not too sure either.

because when i sent my bike for full service my carberator was fine and theres seems to be nothing wrong with my engine.

cos my bike performance wise i have never had any problem.

meter clear easily and rpm can also clear red zone easily and still go down but my balls too small already.

my rvf can backfire easily and the flame also very big and sound very loud.

all i have to do is just open and close throttle .

dont even need to play with the on/off switch.

or when i from 4th gear drop 3rd gear my bike will also backfire. pom pom pom a couple of times.

 

but however its not good

 

i am still finding the best shop to tune my bike till i can get no backfire at all .

thinking of extreme motor next.

cos so far they do my bike very very very good

i am a supporter of extreme and ah chong. hahaha

 

although i did my grouding and slider at knt

can say they also did a pretty neat job.

'squeeking' sound when braking is usually due to brake dust accumulated, not a big problem except the sound might be irritating.

cleaning of discs will help, but it will re-occur when it has accumulated enuff dust again.. changing to better brake pads might help thou.

 

rvf disc brake cost a $550 a pair fyi.. price may vary frm shop to shop

Backfire means your bike running too rich and it harms your sparkplugs so dun tink backfire is cool and do it on purpose. For the RVFs if you do lots of backfire onpurpose, it will backfire your pocket causing you to replace your rectifier soon.

 

Stage 2 mod on the rvf is not only your jet kit but you will need to replace cams on your RVF to make it effective.

 

Bro yanwei, when you do fast and hard corners and go over some uneven roads, does your rear keep shaking or goes up and down?? if it does then is time for you to rebuild your suspension.
