TZR 3MA is a 250cc by Yamaha...RGV250 is from Suzuki..

 

2 strokers has lesser engine brake thus u can outbrake before corners, and just 1/4 into the corner, u can start to gradually open ur throttle, by the time u r at the apex, u r in full gas..And of cos it's good for tracks where cornering is the key pt..

 

4 strokes in corner, maintain thruout, close to apex gradually open..

 

That's what i understand from riding a 250 last time and a 4 stroke 600..

There is also a very lay man saying which is 2 stroke you can afford to make mistakes in corners and rectify but not for a 4 stroke especially when you at the apex.

MASS ANNOUNCEMENT:

 

Guys, I have a piece of rider information for y'all.

 

One of our members, who happens to be on our 7th June outing list, wanted to join the outing because he is going to sell his beloved V4.

 

Today, I would like to congratulate him on suddenly and successfully striking a deal with the new owner of his bike just this evening.

And because of this (unfortunately), he will not ride his RVF to the outing.

 

I will not disclose who he is right now, but he has some substantial friendly relationships with me, the other Nelson, and most of the laojiaos that we know. I would like to take the time to thank him for the times he jio'ed us for outing a few times, and also, lending his voice, his opinions on the RVF in general, as well as paying for my satay + prawns when I just plainly forgot to pay him back

 

He is not quitting riding; given time, he plans to be a Class 2 rider, just like fufu, Asan, and speedboy07.

All of you will know who that person is on the 7th June outing; he will be driving into KKFC.

so the RVFs(400,750) basically are track race bikes la issit...is that why the handling is so renownded? is there other bikes with handling jus as good...or even better?

I only had a few track sessions with my 2-stroker RS125 and was unable to kinda understand how it performed:

 

I'm curious, what do you mean by "outbrake"?

If a 2 stroker has lesser engine braking upon shutting the throttle, does this mean braking has to be done a lot to get it up to the desired speed before the turn?

Dun worry petrol in sg all are ok. Stay with 98 or higher will be sufficient for any bike.

Presumably, it's because the back-torque of a 4 stroke engine (and maybe bike's weight) for a rider who has already entered the corner.

So any mistakes made for not planning the turn may result in the bike itself "pushing" the rider into the wrong lining.
