True, only if you tighten the bolt and nut that mounts in your frame too tight. It will cause binding.

Took out mine after a year,

Reason:

1. Weight distribution more towards front making front tyre wear faster or abnormal. Under hard braking rear tends to lock up easily. Cornering wise,if your cornering hard and hit a few bumps, you'll feel the rear shaking...

2. Rear sprocket wear will be faster due to the chain angle.

I installed the risers first place to increase the ground clearance. S4 is very2 low compared to other street bikes like hornet250 or GSR400.

It really depends on the rider weight... and when he adds pillion...

For me without the suspension riser... my bike was like straight... i cant get used to the riding posture bcoz im quite familiar with ferring bikes... especially without those brackets... after fixing it.. down my fork... feel better in cornering... like i said.. it really depends on the weight and rider.

for me....

i took out just 2 days after fixing it... plainly its becos -

1) cornering will be very shaky

2) sprockets especially the rear will wear off much faster

3) chain will be distorted after sometime (seen 1st hand from frenz of mine who installed them)

4) when u place ur side stand, ur bike feels like fallingcos its too high

im 1.75 m tall and 68kg ... my gf is 1.6m and 55kg... and i bring her along everywhere i go and i feel so far my bike is pretty balanced to me ..

Its quite true what u've said..it mostly depends on the weight of the rider...i was told by a fren abt this and the purpose of the riser...its most effective if the rider is heavy weighted like me..it does giv a good rised look, but wen i sat on my bike with risers, the height of the bike comes up to the same as those average weighted rider whose bikes are w/o risers..but it does suffer in high speed cornering...

wat i did is just lowering the fork... dats all... ground clearance is a heartache especially the jb humps....

Since JB introduce the petrol price to 2.5 ... at that time i stop already... it is a headache... must go zig zag on those humps... and malaysian bikes are always impatient due to they ride their spark135/ex5/wave more like scramblers...
