Yo bros, got myself a vee 08 model from loois a week ago mileage about 14k.. but had several ocassions that engine died. Originally when it died, can start again but last sat, it died and can't be start. have to push to bike shop. Charge battery, check rectifier and install switch for headlamp, after that it's ok. But today, happen again. There was a few instance of popping sound before finally it died.loois

 

What could be the problem.. anyone encounter before.. curently bike at Loois coz still under warranty...

 

And why does it have to be sat...:cry:

check battery connector.... reconnect and restart

They did but no start.. so i left the bike there for them to do full check.. hope that it will be ok soon...

 

But wat's the popping sound...read from stromtroopers that it has something to do with throttle body sync

I did have this problem. After do the battery and go to 219 for a pink decal...problem solve.

not for my case.. well...just have to wait for them to call. Feeling lost for a while not being able to ride..

 

I'm still having the popping sound every now and then. keep me updated bout ur bike outcome n wat need to be done.

hi guys, need to hear from those who had fixed rick's fork brace...is the handling way better at high speeds?is it worth an investment?

but sadly bro...after replacing e new batt less den a year ago... bike giving me prob again two days ago... couldn't start.... so I removed e batt, gave it a full charge n test again...find dat bike is not charging... sianz liao... lucky for me got my auto scoot... sendin my strommy to mech next week

i used a honda rvf kill switch...snug nicely on my handlebar

then it's definitely not the battery. next u can check is the rectifier. could it be the common coil problem?:(

Where's the popping sound coming from??? Under the seat or exhaust?? If under, try check both the rubber boot. I noticed my front boot clamp never tighten when i bought it few yrs ago...

 

If aftermarket exhaust then u running lean. If stock exhaust, then u running it slow...hehe...

Hi guys,

 

Been reading lots of postings regarding battery life-span. Wish to share my experiences...

 

My Wee is installed with a headlight on/off switch since it's abt a wk old. My SOP for headlight is :

1) ALWAYS in OFF position whenever cranking start the bike.

2) ALWAYS in OFF position whenever in bike is stationery with engine idiling. IE. Traffic light in red.

 

In short, I will switch on the headlight only when bike is moving. SGP's streetlights are more than enough for safe riding. In fact, I thought the lights are more for BLIND drivers to see me. (And for the boys-in-white)

 

Current battery is still the same original one which came with the bike. Bike's abt 4 yr old plus now.

 

For my past bikes, that's the same SOP I practiced too.

 

If yr battery doesn't SEEMS to be charging well, you might want to try tuning UP your engine idiling RPM. Add another 0.3 rpm will help.

Bro.. sound comes from under... never had this sound last week.. only yesterday it happen quite a few times... I've read about the rubber boot thingy.. i got feeling that's the cause for the popping.. but :sian: only can check tmrw coz today busy with my unmotorised bike...

Great Speedjpop!!! However I'm kind of lazy to think of switching off-on the light when the traffic is Red.
