Vertigo, can share wat was your cost for the setup? GPS and mount. Are you using the ram mount for motorcycle? Wat kind of security feature did u add in?

Is ur bike AT?

Thanks.

i gave up looking for a suitable ram mount... got myself a stainless steel iu bracket for $10, bend it a little such that i can mount my pda holder securely onto it... see pic :D

intend to mount it on left handlebar together with rear view mirror :shades:

selling yours?

Yes

I'm selling my VISTA CX for VISTA HCX

cx is very good on road but some time i go tracking in jungle, it don work as fast as on the road....

so after compare the two model spec

they r the same, only two diff

HCX have better reciver

CX have much better batt life...

so it is a exchange of batt life for better reciever

still some time i go tracking so i think of changing

i was surprice to know selling price of new HCX & CX is the same...

I have been using a GPS device to guide my travelling around Malaysia and also other parts of the world. With this thing, you will never get lost, you also dun need a tour guide more or less.

A GPS (Global Positional Satellite) device can be mounted on the bike, mine at the mirrors.

If any one wish to know something about it, can post question here.

is there any cheaper models?

For color, maps loadable, rugged enough for bikers, the Garmin Legend Cx, is definitely the cheapest available in Singapore.

There is a cheaper version but not available here, that is the garmin Venture. It's looks exactky like the Legend but with less software features such as the auto-route feature which I think is important for touring
