Alamak, I think the sound was there since first day I got the bike.

????

Ahhh... the brrrr is back.

I had this brrrr even without the windshield.

The vibrating sound you mentioned above is when you really open up throttle, right?

That brrrr sound is much louder then my brr sound.

My brrr sound is not that loud.

It appear if you go steady at 2000-2200 rpm, but if you throttle fast, its not there.

Really puzzling me where the heck its coming from!

brrrrrrrrrr is irritating sia...

Ha, I am not alone.

I have checked all that, even raba, raba under the tank, nothing loose.

I am keeping my ear open wide to hear if that brrrr sound is back.

If if come back, I think I'll get ear-plug!!!!!

my front tyre i pump 225 and behind 290...but still hv problem..

try giving your front tyre a shake...if you can feel the tyre shaking means your bearing wasnt fixed properly

if the speedo senser wasnt fixed properly also can result the front tyre to shake a little but the shaking will be gone for a while before your speedo sensor f**k up...

Did you just changed to newer tyres? this may also give a shaky feel

If all my suggession is ruled out den you just need a spray of wd40 to the bearing but pleacs becareful not to spray on the disc brakes..

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - The government will ban people in foreign-registered vehicles from buying gasoline in border areas of Malaysia, where heavy subsidies have kept petroleum costs low despite soaring prices internationally.

http://ad.sg.doubleclick.net/ad/N4990.YahooSG/B2850954.3;abr=!ie4;abr=!ie5;sz=300x250;ord=1211904106034654?

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Shahrir Abdul Samad said a day earlier that the ban was aimed at keeping foreigners from driving into Malaysia from Thailand and Singapore to fill up on cheap gasoline and diesel, which cost up to twice as much in the neighboring countries.

The ban was "a stern act by the government to reduce the leak in subsidy," national news agency Bernama quoted Shahrir as saying. His aide, who declined to be named citing protocol, confirmed his comments Tuesday.

The fuel subsidies, which were expected to cost the government 45 billion ringgit (US$14 billion; 9 billion) this year, "should actually be enjoyed by the lower-income group in the country" and not foreigners, Shahrir said.

"This move is temporary until we come up with better management of our subsidy system," The Star daily quoted him as saying.

Shahrir said the ban could take effect as early as Friday at up to 300 stations within 30 miles (50 kilometers) of the borders with Thailand and Singapore.

Alang Zari Ishak, president of a local petroleum dealers association, said the ban may hurt tourism and relations with Malaysia's neighbors.

"It's a very harsh decision," he said. "There are other ways to curb this subsidy money being utilized."

Enforcement officers will monitor gasoline stations and signs will inform motorists of the new rule, Shahrir said. Those found breaking the rule could be fined or face up to three years in jail, said another official in Shahrir's ministry. He declined to be named, citing protocol.

Currently, foreign registered vehicles are allowed to buy only up to 5.3 gallons (20 liters), he said.

Although oil prices have soared globally, the government of Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has not raised retail gasoline, diesel or gas prices

ya bro malaysia malaysia hahahaha.....

The problem is that it affects malaysians as well coz most of them buy singapore bikes to escape toll fee at sgp customs...haha seems like no more buisness for malaysian market...I think malaysia will feel the down turn of this decision made by them as soon as this friday coz there will be no more traffic jams of singapore cars...people will have to think twice before goin into malaysia to shop coz transport is a biatch...in the next month their currency pumping from jb will drop tramendously considering the fact that people go there to shop and therefore pump petrol there to claim mileage on our return..haha...soon honey moon in malaysia would cost as much as rupiahs... hahah

At 2am just now, i made my final way to JB for petrol. The causeway in both SG & JB is quite good flow. In all i was held up a total of 20 minutes.

I reached my fave JB petrol station, Mobil, for my last petrol pump there.. I bid my silent goodbye to the pump & went to wash & wax for RM35. Taking my last supper at the mamak stall with teh tarik from JB. It was bcoming unbearable to feel..

At 4am I made my way home to my SG. En route home i say my bye bye & waved my hand frantically in the air to the pump station that i frequents since 1997...It was close to tears, but it had to end sometime..It also brought an end to cheap petrol & blatant noise of bikes blaring its horns at the Causeway. From now onwards, I have NO more excuses to make my way down there. Not with its "50km banned ruling" that starts on Friday. 30th May 2008 will brought an abrupt end to my red passport & took away the sights & feel of the JB town & its people...

I bid my last sayonara with an ache to the heart, with holes in my pockets & mundane SG pump stations with audicious petrol prices visits next....:cheeky:

All goods would have to come to an end, S o M e D a Y...

can u feel my pains???

So unfortunate about the ban. Did some math and was quite depressed to find out that I'm gonna be spending at least double on fuel every month if I were to upgrade to an XJR from my 2B bike . Not sure if I should upgrade man. I'm already a struggling student. Made worst sia~ :(

u got to thinkit over bro...thats is lotsa money involved when buying bigger cc bikes...so dont rush over until u are sure about it...a 20liters XJR400R can last about 410-420km comfortably...this is far better than my kups & KRs...so think long run...

My dad's gonna offload his old XJR to me some time later this year so half the battle is already won. I don't have to splash out my own cash to buy one, unlike my current bike. Will have to take into account the maintenance, fuel and insurance on my own from then on. You're right bro, bigger cc bike demands more care and $$$ to support. Really hope the petrol ban in JB gets sorted out for the better when I get my ride...

with a XJR in hand, u are already halfway there brother...All u need is to maintain the bike, proper.

some say that small cc is the way to go about here in SG with high petrol costs & insurances all that. My take is a 400cc is sufficient for me to get around..Not too big not too small. i can commucate where i want to go from anywhere comfortably...

It took me 6 years to upgrade & after 4 years on a 2A licence, if only i knew it is this good on a 400cc, i would have do it immediately in 98...

i have no regrets watsover on my Yammie XJR400R..it made me who i am today...the bike is alike me...Its blue, its bullish, its me.

heeh eeh ee....watever ride u are on, we are two wheelers afterall...

come for our gathering bro & meet the guys. U can always chat & find on more on the RARE XJRs that is in your eyes now...:thumb:soon it would be in your hands & bum...

Malaysia to ban fuel sales to S'pore cars from June 9

The ban, to stop foreigners from benefitting from fuel subsidy, on Thai cars from the north starts June 2

By Carolyn Hong, Malaysia Bureau Chief

IN KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYSIA will only start banning Singapore-registered cars from buying fuel in Johor stations near the southern border from June 9, instead of Friday as earlier announced.

The ban at the northern border, largely affecting Thai-registered cars, will start a week earlier - on June 2.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Shahrir Samad told The Straits Times that the ban would not affect motorcycles. They will be allowed to buy subsidised fuel anywhere in Malaysia.'These are usually low-income earners, and many of them could be Malaysians,' he said.

Malaysia had earlier announced a ban on the sale of fuel to foreign-registered vehicles from stations within 50km of its northern and southern borders.

This was to prevent Malaysia's heavily-subsidised fuel from being sold to foreigners, especially the stream of Thai vehicles which cross the border daily just to buy diesel or petrol.

The delay in implementing the ban was caused by administrative issues such as publicity and the printing of posters to be placed at affected petrol stations.

'It's the information campaign that is holding things up,' Datuk Shahrir said.

At current global oil prices, Malaysia will spend RM55 billion (S$23 billion) this year - more than its RM40 billion annual development budget - to keep pump prices among the lowest in the region.
