I heard the new hotel is

 

FELDA is Federal Land Development Authority I think :)...you took the nerest road to the border but not the nicest...see my previous post on Grik-Baling NEW road...

 

Err.. I am going Hatyai Bike Week from Betong but no via Yala...I pan to do this on Baling-Pedu-Changloon back road (http://malaysianbikers.com.my/forum/index.php/topic,12237.0.html) tho I miss the Yala road 410 so much. You went to 3 Nation last year using this road? Me and the ang moi on the FJR did talked to you guys, remember? I am pretty sure one of the FJR is blue like yours...

 

Yap, i think you're the guy that i'd spoke to at the Betong Immigration last year, cant remember already... haha... U guys told me that u going to HY from the M'sia side, but we wanted to explore via the Yala stretch!! Yes, the FJR is mine, but just sold it off last week. perhaps intending to go to Betong on my Yamaha TMax in Aug or Sept!!

 

The route via Yala took us almost like 5 hrs + (with a breakfast stop) to reach HY. Thats why by the time we reach Phuket, it was already dark... hahah, so damn tiring....

 

hoping that i can stay at the new Hotel the next time i go to Betong, but staying at Grand View has easier access to "you know what lah"... better "view"....

 

by the way, any good recommendations or discounts for hotels in KL?? can i also say "Razin Big Bike" and then get a discount in Kay El ???

Hey Razin Stayed in Sri Betong Hotel last weekend based on your recommendation. Was really amazed that they have adult channel in there. Quite a neat place and really accessible. Went back down to KL using Gua Musang route. Love the view man.

Errr that's the only thing i forgot to do ... Paid 87 ringgit for a room ... But i find it quite reasonable plus you get one special TV channel running 24 hours.

To tell you the truth :) Yes..I love Betong.....the roads leading there, the quiet town itself, the hot spring, the distance from here, that's it. I don't really fancy the highway so I will try to use as much back road as possible but that depends on my riding partners :)

Razin ... I took the Gua Musang via Jeli to KL the other time and it's one good route. Do share your recommended back routes that are less travelled in Peninsula Malaysia ... would love to venture out.

I will..in fact a number of us from Sgp and KL will pass Gua Musang and Kuala Krai on 6th Sep on our way to Betong (where else eh?) via Pahang & kelantan old road and then to Malaysia Bike Week. We will report on the new highway progress.
