I got this frm Man U webby. Fanzone & Blog.

"What SAF Said to the Slave" Speculation

Sir Alex has stated that the conversation he had between himself and the slave is PRIVATE. What do you think he said to the slave that resulted in him confidently declaring that the slave will be with United next season hence would not be sold. Here are the few guesses I could come up with:

1) He tells the slave to give him just one more season so as to give him more time to bag the ideal replacement. Then he is free to go.

2) He tells the slave to do him one last favour for old times sake and hang on until the January transfer window when upon he won't be eligible to play for Madrid in the CL having already played for United.

3) He advises the slave that if he stays and wins the FIFA best player awards and maintains his form then his price would even soar further up and Madrid would be practically begging for him and offer him the highest salary in history. So none of this "the train only passes once" excrement.

4) He tells the slave that he has arranged a spanish model ten times better than Nareida who will be at his beck and call should he stay (all expenses paid).

5) He tells the slave that Madrid offered him a mere Audi TT whereas United are willing to offer him his dream car, the Bugatti Veyron.

6) It's getting sillier and sillier now so I leave the rest to you guys. :D

I should doubt so. He's dreaming of wearing the white one already. Likely due to the fatter pay cheque.

Calderon confident Real will still snare top target

MADRID, July 20 (Primera Liga) - Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is adamant Cristiano Ronaldo remains his club's number one transfer target despite Manchester United's insistence that the Portugal star will not be sold.

Sir Alex Ferguson met Ronaldo for clear-the-air talks on Monday and claimed on Friday that there was no chance he would be quitting United for Spain.

However, Calderon believes Ferguson's optimism is little more than a ruse to get more money out of the Primera Liga giants who are reportedly willing to pay no more than 85million euros.

'This type (of transfer) is hard,' he told Spanish media, when asked about Ferguson's comments. 'But we're going to go for it all the same.

'I suppose it's all about a manner of theirs to let us know clearly that they're not going to lower the price in anyway and that if we want him we have to pay a lot more money.'

Madrid chiefs are said to be convinced the winger - who is currently recovering from ankle surgery - will join them before the beginning of the season.

When asked about Ronaldo by the Madrid players on their first day of pre-season training, Calderon reportedly reassured them with the words 'Don't worry, we have it all sorted.'

Arsene Wenger backs Fergie in hammering Real on Ronaldo

Arsene Wenger has for once thrown his weight behind Sir Alex Ferguson by accusing Real Madrid of "destabilising" Cristiano Ronaldo. Wenger's spats with Fergie have become legendary in the Frenchman's 12 years as Gunners boss - their rows adding spice to Arsenal's battles with Manchester United for the title. But Wenger reckons his old adversary has every right to moan about the way Real have gone about trying to poach Portuguese wing wizard Ronaldo. "If you don't show respect to other clubs, I think that football is moving in the wrong way," said Wenger. "You cannot come out like president Ramon Calderon has done at Real Madrid with Manchester United, and tell them they cannot stop a player from leaving. You can destabilise any player in the world - that is irresponsible. The big clubs should have values and vision, and be setting an example to others. If we do not do that in football, then we do not understand our responsibilities."

They won't have players of Ronaldo's talents to boast of. Notice clubs don't pry top players from RM because usually those players are already pass their peak and not worth millions anymore. Think Figo, Zidane, Beckham, (Fat) Ronaldo... yes the age of the Galaticos. RM is a good place is purchase aged players past their peak though.

The reason why RM never, ever makes a profit from selling players. :D

Give Ronaldo what he wants, says Tevez

Updated: July 24, 2008, 9:06 AM UK

Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez has broken ranks by claiming Cristiano Ronaldo should be allowed to join Real Madrid if he wishes.

Ronaldo has been the transfer story of the summer, with the Portugal winger expressing his desire to play for Real, who in turn have made him their number one target.

'I understand Cristiano,' Tevez told AS. 'Every footballer wants to play at Real Madrid. On the other hand, I also think that everyone wants to play for Manchester United, but if what he seeks is something else, I think that should be respected.'

United have been furious with Real's public pursuit of the player, once again reiterating this week that they have no intention of selling their prize asset.

But Old Trafford team-mate Tevez has risked incurring the wrath of Sir Alex Ferguson by claiming the European champions should not stand in Ronaldo's way if he wants to leave.

'The (United) team has great players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, of course,' Tevez added.

'It's clear that he is a very important player for us, but this is a personal decision, which is up to only him.

'I have not talked to him, but when these things happen, neither side feels good.'

For once I feel Tevez is really dumb. Of all things to say and he must irritate SAF? Oh come on, without SAF he would be stuck at nowhere to show his talents. There people does not know what gratitude is.

And to think he's speaking in the same lingo as Blatter, Platini, Calderon, Ronaldo himself...

:goodluck: to his career at Old Trafford.

Sometimes it is better to keep his mouth shut.

Never felt the full wrath of SAF yet :dot:

:gun: Tevez :goodluck:

Apparently he did not find out what happened to Stam, RVN, Becks, etc... :dot:
