Bayern winger could replace Ronaldo if he decides to join Real

 

Bayern Munich winger Frank Ribery's agent Alain Migliaccio has revealed that the Frenchman could move to Manchester United if Cristiano Ronaldo decides to join Real Madrid.

 

The 25-year-old has been strongly linked with a summer move to Barcelona but now Migliaccio has thrown United's hat into the ring.

 

With rumours of Ronaldo's proposed move to Real Madrid refusing to go away, the former Marseille man's representative believes that, should the Portugal international join the Spanish champions, United would look to replace him with Ribery.

 

The French international star has been in scintillating form of late, highlighted in Bayern's 5-0 demolition away at Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions last-16 first leg where he scored twice and created two more.

 

"If Manchester United sells Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Alex Ferguson would like to cover that transfer with Ribery's signature," Migliaccio told Bild.

 

Meanwhile, Barcelona president Joan Laporta denied that his club had already reached an agreement to sign Ribery at the end of the season.

 

"We didn't speak with his representative nor with the player's entourage," he told L'Equipe.

 

"If one day we were to plan it, we would speak directly with his club."

ronaldo is nvr my choice of player..even thou he is on the verge of becoming a utd legend..he nvr really is a devil...he's just a very gd player at utd...for me..a ''mr manutd'' would no doubt be Rooney...he'll be the next giggs,scholes n gary of utd...

oh man, all because of the snow that made van der sar hands slippery, lol, his record has been broken, oh my !!

 

forget about the records, after kitkat conceded a goal against blackburn, i dont bother anymore..result are more important then record..

he should come to united, so should ribery. err....what happened to tosic? -.-

 

Fergie will played Tosic in the next season. so right now he's in the reserve squad. but he will featured in the F.A Cup. culd b this saturday against Fulham.

Utd eye South American starlet

Buenos Aires-based outfit expect contact regarding star midfielder

 

Argentinian side Banfield claim they are awaiting contact from Manchester United regarding a possible interest in midfielder Nicolas Bertolo.

 

The 23-year-old offensive midfielder is understood to have caught the eye of the English, European and world champions as they plan for summer reinforcements.

 

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has a South American scouting network and it is reported that representatives of the club will be at Banfield's meeting with Rosario Central this weekend.

 

Lazio failed in an attempt to sign Bertolo - who is valued at around £2million - on loan in January, and Banfield's sporting director Hector Clide has now declared that he is expecting an approach from United.

 

"I am aware of the subject and it is not unusual because the kid has had a good year," Clide told TyC Sports.

 

"We expect news about this subject."

 

Bertolo is half owned by Banfield, while former club Boca Juniors also hold a 50 per cent share of the player. Report frm Skysport
