i do not think it is dangerous to go to hatyai with your small bike. Thailand is relative safe compared to msia.

In fact my experience tell me thai pple are alot better then malaysia and more honest too . They have a strong pride of their country and their nationalize. Go ahead and ride in as long u respect them they will respect u back . :)

I will not want to regret in my life when i look back when i am old man.

Hi fellow brothers. I'm interested to ride up to Thailand for the first time. I haven't gather any other riders to go with me. I need some advice on what to bring if we are going in a group of 3-5 pax. Most of us are 400cc riders ranging from S4s to sports bikes(like RVF myself). How fast should we ride and how long should it take. How many stops? What to do if we run into some trouble. Is it fairly safe on NSH?

Any information will be helpful. Please advice.

p/s: the trip would only be 4-5 days long. any interested riders who wish to join, please pm. when it will happen is not decided yet.(dunno leave can approve or not.)

~its not the destination, its the journey~

Yamaha TZM (2006 - 2007)

Honda RVF (2007 - 2009)

Honda Super 4 Spec 1 (2009 - 2013)

Kawasaki Z1000 Gen 3 (2013 - 20xx)

Hi bro,

Riding to thailand is always fun,it's just to release pressure, tension and whatever from work/study in busy city, many bikers from s'pore did so many

trip to thailand eventhough they been there before, even me myself almost covered most of south part of thailand including betong, hatyai, phuket and koh samui.

Important thing that u need to bring absolutely ur logcard as to register in thai custom.insurance wise i'm not sure as s'pore bike insurance cover up to 80km from m'sia border,if i'm not wrong.so doesn't required if travelling to betong and hatyai,if further than hatyai u should purchase at thai border.

u can refer to previous thai trip thread on fuel stop planning.

tarvelling speed is depend on individual.if riding in group i stick to organizer

recommended speed.Travelling with buddy i travel at my own pace.

Relatively safe riding in NSH,just beware of vehicle on slow lane, they just filter to right lane suka suka without signalling.high beam them before u pass thru.Emergency phone are located every 2km,call them if encounter any problem.

Good luck and happy journey to amazing Thailand.
