Hi,

 

I have a problem with my bike, when the bike rpm rev up to 5000 to 7000 range, there is a lose of power. The significant power come after 7000pm onward. I understand from my friends that it is call the flat spot, however they are unable to provide me a solution. Did any of you guys experience this problem?? appreciate if someone could advise me. FYI I am holding on to RS125 Replica version. Thanks

i m new here n i juz bought one new rs125, but e bike always face e difficulty of start... seems i always nid 2 pull e choke then can start. new bike shouldn hav this kinda problem right? anyone can help? izit true tt onli e wiring short? coz mah told me tt..

n also wan 2 ask abt svc n how t maintain e bike? where do u guys normally go ah? many thx (can pm me e shop name n location pls)

n how s e fuel consumtn ah? my one s abt 20km/l its my estimation onli... maybe less than tt... engine under run in ll makan more fuel?

welcome to the club...as for your problem,i dun think a new rs125 should face this kinda problems,however i would not say that i am very sure as i never own a first hand bike b4...perhaps i would let the Dr.'s and experts in here to tell you more....

it didnt really bother me cuz the mac there just told me to use the choke. So i just used it until i realise i didnt have to use it anymore. BUT if you rev your engine when it just started, it will die off. Thats what i experienced with my bike. Now, with your info, i think all first hand bikes from mah is like that one.

I never had this problem with my bike when I bought it. And no, it has nothing to do with the wiring. With regard to maintenance and servicing, everyone has their own opinion of shops and service quality, so I would leave that judgement to yourself. However, since you have a new bike, I would suggest that you bring it back to whichever shop you bought it from. They would have a service package for you somehow if I am not wrong.

 

You should only bring it to another shop AFTER that service package is over. My bike was giving me about 31km/l when I got it out of the shop. If you have not touched anything on your bike, I would say that a brand new bike should be getting about 25km/l at least. Fuel consumption varies between bikes and rider's riding styles.

 

And no, your fuel consumption will not increase after your run-in unless you are riding very aggressively after the run-in period.
