and dun use the helmet hook!

u are goin to scratch the paint!!!

btw eyez, where can i get carbon fibre fairing, mudguard, hugger for the rs125? thx

why not the helmet hook?

it's good what, the whole cable is covered with rubber, i don't see in

anyway it will scratch the bike. Though I haven't tried it myself.

By the way, the helmet hook is only good for securing full face helmet to

your bike.

I have a fren who said that his friend can import those carbon fibre parts

from UK. He's asking me to get some parts together with him as the

price would be cheaper. Give me a call if you would like to contact my

this friend, so you can talk to him personally. My no. can be found on the

Aprilia rider list.

thanks fibre for ur wonderful explanation...really makes sense...but just to check u mean 100km or 1000km?

so after 100km i can switch the oils? and it is ok to switch from mineral -> fulyl synth without needing to bleed the 2t tank?

thnks eyez and fibre for ur comments, appreciate it. I just topped up fuel today and it runs fine now, doesn't die off.

was wondering what are ur fuel consumption like for ur aprilia? considering if becos my bike died due to lack of petrol but i only ran it 130km on a full tank, isn't that like too darn little?

Better to be loved, than to hate...

Posted

haha your bike died due to lack of petrol??

sound very very familiar to me..

that happened to me not once but twice..

when my petrol was used up, i switched to the reserve but no matter how

hard i tried, it just couldn't start..

nowadays i don't really depend on my reserve tank, i think it's fake...

hehe

you have to tell you your mileage for per litre of petrol. We don't know

how many litre your bike consume for the 130km mileage.

My bike produced a mileage of 17Km/L for using V-Power.

new RS 250 OTR around S$16.5k from Mah Motor...

you don't call 4 year old FS plate new.. that's kinda old liao..

it depends on how you look between the 2 bike..

currently both bike are no in production liao..

PGM4 end its production quite many years back.. but RS250 only end its

production 1 or 2 years back..

so for the parts, both will be more or less than same i guess...

i see...

but RS ratehr how much for a FS plate??

i still cannot choose between RS or PGM...

i'm not from rich family i'm just born from a normal family..

anyway i really like this two bike..

if i will to buy them i won't ride everyday lor...

cause i know the wear and tear would be very very high...

anway what are the main problem for RS250..

i just saw one FW RS250 very very nice..

too bad i cannot afford it..

anway ratrher how much do i need to pay let say i want to buy an FS plate RS250...

anway thanks for you reply...

think it's not wise to ask this qns at a Aprilia..

most probably you will get more people telling you to get an Aprilia..

If you got PGM thread, you'll get the same thing.

Why not asking people from the general discussion section, it will give you

a much unbiased comment.

but I can give a rough pricing of both bike..

For a FN - FP PGM, it will cost around $6K

Similar no. plate of a RS 250, it would cost something less than S$4K.

Mayb you can take Suzuki RGV 250 into consideration as well, i think it's

considered the fastest in the 250cc class. But it's a really old bike. Some

model might have dry clutch installed, giving you the ice cream man

ling ling sound like PGM.

i've read uk guys actually buying our Singapore's own cheetah alarm to install on their RS, seems fine.

thing what it may do is spoil ur CDI, or drain ur battery if the alarm is spoilt (e.g. gotten wet and shorted). besides that i tihnk its fine.

now i jsut need to know how to install the darn thing, the diagram looks more than a mouthful

don't lah bro...

it's not advisable to meddle with the electronic parts of an Aprilia...

not that it's a myth but I myself had experiencd with it..

it will really cock up your bike if anything goes wrong..

people might purposely di siao your bike to let the alarm goes on sounding until

your batt flat.. or when it rains, it might short circuit and may in turn spoils other

electrical parts of the bike.

previously, I also had a on/off switch for my headlight but in the end also removed

it due to the problems it have me...

better think twice before you install that.

BTW you stayed in a private house, right? You don't really need an alarm what,

just buy a cover to cover your bike when you park outside.

mm..i noe la...but alarm give me more security over my precious baby. everytime think of the amt of $$ i splash down really heart pain, and if someone really di siao my bike my heart will drop on the floor... $$ really hard to earn.

the private house u see in my pics is temporary only lor. or else i not scared lieow. :weep:

eyz: really love ur haga rep paintwork man

really that bad huh...ur really making me think twice dude.. mm...

any outing for aprilias soon?

aiyo brother.. before you bought your truno, you were asking around whether is

the bike good or not, this and that.. after you had gotten your bike, you now worry

about people di siao it, this and that.. tough leh.. the bike is supposed to let you

enjoy your ride 1 leh..

relax man.. i also scared people will di diao my bike, but i just make it a point to

cover my bike wherever i go.. that's the best i can do, i really don't want to reach

the extend where i can't even do my stuff in peace.. but if installing the alarm will

really give you an ease of mind.. then go ahead lor.. the most important is how

you feel about it.. my only advice is make sure the fitting is good..

will try to come up with a gathering with my friend soon..

let's come out lim kopi and go for a spin..

yah lah.. cos the owner of the AOC is somehow the senior generation of the club,

which is why he could afford to come up and organise such a outing. Hope you

guys will join in the fun!!
