anyways one of the foreign bike mags has a feature on how to film ur own riding,wat kind of equipment they use n where they mount it.cant remember which mag,prob it was BIKE or Performance Bike.it was last months mag.didnt really read much abt de article..juz browsin thru.

 

I didn't know there was a meet-up posted online. I happened to be at Kallang Mac to meet some friends at 2000hrs. Only read about the meeting when I got home.

 

I then went over to West Coast Macs at 2330hrs and was there till 0200hrs.

thanks!! spot on what i'm looking for! but from first page?? one fine day when i got nothing to do with my life will be the day i read all the posts. btw, the top speed for rs125 is 140km/hr right? but after de-restricting it with a turbo kit, can go up to 170km/hr eh? correct me if im wrong cos that's what i read from a mix of info from the net. at the same time, one salesman at bt merah told me that the 09 model with the giannelli pipe has already been de-restricted and can go up to 170km/hr. so which is the correct one? im confused on this part.

top speed for my 03 was 170.now decrease to 150.in my opinion,the 05 models n below are better compared to the newer ones as we dont have much power restriction.and no such thing as turbo kit.correct me if im wrong.the 09 model havent come out yet.probably he meant the 08 model.the 08 has few paintworks,notably the spain no 1.one paintwork with the No 1 on the headlight.dat comes with power cut.u only got 15hp.the other with no 48 on the headlight.dat comes with 33hp.other than dat,the outlook is the same.

i can't quite rmb. but it's either albert or the shop beside it. the shop which have a banner of 20% off for aprilia bikes inside the workshop. 33hp as compared to 15hp?? u sure that's not a typo? double the difference? sigh.. so many model difference.. well he quote me for $11k for everything. he also told me that the bike is capable of going up to 170km/hr. which is kinda impressive. n he pointed out the giannelli exhaust as the strong point. as he claimed this is even newer than the spain no 1. if wait any longer, the exhaust won't be giannelli but the stock one. btw, stock exhaust is what brand eh? and comparing arrow to giannelli, what's the difference?

 

anyway, i don't know if he saw right through me that i know nuts about sports bike. that's why he wanna sweet talk much. makes it sound like a good deal. as he told me this is a 1 mth offer only.

Our bike's top speed is about 180kph, measured against a car. Bike speedometers are relatively inaccurate. When mine topped out at 195kph, the car that was measuring my speed alongside was only travelling at 180kph.

 

But the most inaccurate speedometers are on the Thailand made bikes (SP, KRR). I had a friendly spin with a rider on a KRR and his speed reading was 30kph faster than mine even though we were travelling at the same speed.

 

So it's quite easy to think you're riding faster than you really are.

Rs can go more than 140>>> unless something wrong if the bike,

we cant say out speeding thing not nice normal riding 120 > 140 wait people thought Aprilia riders all hell riders(de-restricting still not much diff unless the pros are very good)

ihv seen turbokit exhausts online but its definately not street legal. and come on, i bet insaint is kidding about installing a turbokit. if he's not, I WANNA INSTALL IT TOO!

should be albert.coz last fri we were walking ard @ geylang serai fasting month bazaar n albert have set up a booth there.also have the banner saying new 08 model juz arrived.comes with gianelli pipe.as u know,fasting month is 1 month dats y the promo is only for 1 mth.

 

yeah 33hp compared to 15hp.the 15hp has no power valve.dats y the difference in hp.stock exhaust no brand or aprilia's own i guess.arrow n giannelli not much different.unless u wanna do dynojet test on arrow n giannelli.so far nobody has do it here yet.anyway get some1 knowledgeable n know the ppl @ the bikeshop if u wanna buy so u wont get conned.dont buy alone.im sure they will chop u

i thought he really gonna fix a turbo kit. or power kit. isn't that really unleashing the true power of aprilia? but of course not street legal la. the main reason i asking about the relative top speed is so that i roughly gauge the max speed i can go without exerting the engine too hard. cos i believe running the bike at its max speed always will spoil the engine. cos that's what happen to my current bike. to be honest, my current bike's part is not cheap also. no such thing as perfect bike mah. sure some area must sacrifice a bit.

Wow.. just reach home 30minutes ago and just realise it's past midnight liao.... And i might have to go back office tomorrow.. why my work life suddenly so miserable one... Then i dunno where to park, coz i paranoil to park in my office building's carpark.. the exit is down slope with hump then must look out for car on the right and quite a tight left turn right after hump..

 

Scared uh.. really scared.. Dunno how to rid the fear... If downslope no hump i am fine.. if downslope got hump, no need to look out traffic (as in one way) also me quite ok.. but this one, i scared..

Actually, I kept to the speed limit and I signalled before every lane change. Traffic in SG is usually much slower than the limit because most drivers can't drive to save their lives.
