Thanks for meeting up last monday again for the DIY session last week. Learnt quite a fair bit (given i was an idiot with my bike) and would definitely participate in the next session to understand more.

 

Also, there is a track day in PG on the 30th of Nov which i intend to go to (weather permitting). Will keep you guys posted.

First off, apologies for being MIA, was out of SG for over a week.

 

It was a pity we couldn't do much at the last DIY. Good to meet up with you both.

 

Eddy, thanks for introducing me to some new tech toys. They're gonna burn a hole in my pocket but it's so cool I ordered one from the US too.

 

I will be going for 30 Nov Track day.

 

Wan, sorry I just got home. For gear oil spewing out of your clutch housing, check where it is from.

 

If spewing from:

1) the port where the clutch cable enters the casing, no need to worry. Just jiggle cable around a little bit so that the cable housing sits properly.

 

2) the other side where the overflow hose leads excess gear oil to the chain, no need to worry. This is normal if there is too much gear oil poured in from your last gear oil change.

 

If leaking from:

 

3) oil outlet, no need to worry. Just tighten the bolt securing the oil outlet.

 

4) the gasket around the clutch housing, DAMN YOU BETTER START WORRYING. hahaha.... Just kidding, not to worry. Check that it's not coming from either of the 2 plastic caps (the ones that require a coin to open). If you have ascertained that the oil is leaking from the gasket, change the gasket and make sure the housing is screwed on tight (but not overly tight, dont wanna damage the threads on the bolts).

 

Let me know when your next servicing is due so we can do a gear oil change and I can show you the clutch assembly.
