LOL... hmmm... maybe I'll ask around my circle of friends to see who's letting their bikes go.

There's just too many great bikes around. Besides the usual suspects like Cannondale, Trek, and Giant, there's Scott, Marin, Seven, Moot, Voodoo, Specialized, Kona, GT, Raleigh, Orbea, Ellsworth, Cervelo, La Pierre, Colnago, Pinarello, Gary Fisher, Jamis, Klein, Titus, De Rossa, Moser, Argon18, Intense, Bianchi, Serotta, KHS, Ironhorse, Yeti, Santa Cruz, Ridley, Nicolai, Haro, Litespeed, Mongoose, Orange, Banshee, Merida, Diamondback, Rocky Mountain, Norco, Foes, Turner, Kestral, Cove, Felt, Schwinn, Merlin, Saracen, and of course my Dean.

There's plenty more but these are the ones I can remember offhand that I've seen or tried and have proven to be great rides.

Maybe PM me your budget and I can ask around?

did u juz rattle off all the brands in the world?? :cheeky: i think i only know 1/8 of it heh.im not in a hurry to get 1 though.ill give u a pm soon

whoaa i dont have that much..installment can?? haha joking.never heard of this brand before but certainly im lookin for somethin that is branded enuff not like those buy from carrefour ones hehe..

Hi Quikslvr,

Dean only makes Titanium bikes. Ti bikes are deemed "timeless" and is said to last a lifetime. If i am not mistaken, they are all handmade in the USA (that was a few years back, not sure if its still the case). They are also known for their relatively more comfortable ride due to more flexible chainstays (as compared to aluminium/carbon bikes)

Are you looking for a road bike or a mountainbike? Feel free to drop me a note if you are looking for a bicycle. Can definitely help you in that avenue.

haha... There's plenty more. Those are just the bikes I've ridden before. Most of my friends get a new frame every 2-3yrs so I get to 'test' their bikes.

I highly recommend Scott, Gary Fisher, Schwinn, and KHS if you're on a budget. And whenever you're ready to get a 1st hand bike, I can bring you to a few of my regular bike shops I patronise.

Just FYI, the Scout frame is listed at US$1,750 on the DEAN webby. (http://www.deanbikes.com/mountain/scout/scout.htm)

Eddy, DEAN had aluminum frames before 2000 I think. It was somewhere around that time that they stopped production of aluminum frames and focused specifically on titanium frames. My first bike was in 1996 and it was a Dean aluminum 'Oscar' model with a Y-wishbone chainstay.

Dean still makes one of the finest frames around from the most advanced materials, they're like the Enzo of Ferrari, the R of Ducati, and the Skunkworks of Northrop Grumman.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.
