Pls note that Putra (the one who rides a Spain No. 1) met an accident and is in critical condition right now. He's warded at SGH , Ward 58, Blk 5, Level 8, Room 22.

For those who would like to donate your sincere condolence (or financially) pls contact macan_putih aka Khai directly at 91455310. As he's working and have no access to his phone, perhaps we can all meet at SGH to visit Putra and all donations will be collected and will be given to Putra's parents direct as one sum from us, ARC members.

Khai and I will be heading down to SGH tonight, ETA 9pm.

For those who'd like to visit may contact myself, 81746462 or my direct line for those who have it. Pls spread across to those who may have known him and not have internet access. Thank you.

*PS: details of accidents are unknown to me, his gf only tells me someone rammed behind him.

 for his fast recovery.

he was with me,isa, yan, fitri, adil and 1 more guy whom i forgot the name. we were riding at arnd 70 - 80...

i was the point person followed by yan , putra , fitri so on and so forth...was riding came at a T juntion where a car ran out...but it was arnd 100 meter distance...so i slowed down and yan slowed down too...but unlucky putra didnt managed to slow down and hit yan left tail side...he wobbled and wobbled and looses control and skid and fell...

unlucky fitri was behind putra and fitri jam brake with causes him to do a frontflip...him suffered minor cuts and bruises... as for putra..we still dun knoe how is he now...lets us pray for him to have a speedy recovery...

u guys might blame me for slowing down...but i cant help it...there's a car infront of me...if i had not slown down i might crash head on wit tat car...but lesson learn is....ALWAYS keep ur safety DISTANCE, follow point man speed dun go riding beyond point man speed as might not got time to brake if sh*ts happen, if riding in a group, ALWAYS ride in STAGGED formation...tats all i can comment on last night tragic...

sham, dun feel too guilty about it, bro...

That following a safe distance, it happened to me too and we were on NSHW.. Just that we are both lucky (me and izzat).. I slowed down when i saw yan cut me and slowed down, failed to see that izzat was near and wouldnt be able to stop, hit my tail, and fishtailed.. Lucky both of us didnt fall.. and nothing major happened..

We only react to our own safety and what our brains deemed is safe for us. Those behind us won't be able to read what's in our mind... Let's all just pray for his speedy recovery.. We all will learn from each other, let's show our sportmanship by being there for him, and not play the blaming game. Whatever it is, morale of story as mentioned is... Follow the lead man's speed, and go in staggered formation, with a safe following distance...

I am no expert to say the best. So just my 2 cents. We'll be there for each other. That's what friends are for.

I also interested but I've to give it a miss for now. If end of next mth still available, maybe still can go for it. This mth my pay is going into servicing the bike. I toss and turn at night thinking wat could have caused the bike to die off while riding just like that.

Getting the carb looked at again by racewerks and if nothing found, I heard its gotta be the engine already. Confirm need to shell out more cash if like that.. :|

ah seng cldnt rectify ya carb meh .. hes one of the better mechs u noe

THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING A CLEAN TANK

Ah seng helped to remove my jammed valve while the bike is at FM.

27 Feb 09:

I actually went to raceworks yesterday during lunch break to buy the 2T as I was running pretty low. Along the way it died, wasted 2hrs in total. Got F**Ked by my colleague as he had to wait for me for half hr before he can go home. So I left the bike at depot rd / Alexandra junction for the tow truck to send it there (that's twice the tow truck came to get my bike) and I hopped onto a cab to get back to work.

28 Feb 09:

Headed to racewrks after my shift was over. Picked up the bike and when I moved off from racewrks, the bike dies again. Lucky thing I played it safe and went towards depot rd before it happened. It died there at Depot Road again!! Called Sam, told him i pushing it back. Got there I told him feels like fuel line not feeding fuel into the carb as when it was dying, I tried throttling more and nothing went in.

I was spot on for that 1. Sam tried he also said the same thing.. Ripped out the fuel line from the tank, air-gunned the whole line and it got cleared. Test again and it was ok. Went out to shell, pumped full tank and was on my way home without a hitch.

I hope this concludes this stupid problem. Please remember the importance of having a CLEAN TANK!

he's under supervision now. the doc said that one of his lungs was divided into 3. he could hardly talk neither could he eat or drink properly now. i wouldnt blame anyone except for ourselves. there wasnt enough braking distance/clearance at that point of time. putra was following too close to me.

if u forgot my name...its RUDY grr

oh and fit's bike did slam/hit putra...putra told me himself though he is half concious in the hospital...and if u ask me..the accident could have been totally avoided if we were all not speeding above the speed limit and kept our distance..sucks to see a friend getting into an accident and is in critical condition but lets all hope for the best for putra..

Edited by Rudinator

ah seng can add 20kmph more to ur bike by taking off the brake discs :)

Posted

anyone saw for sure if fit's bike did hit putra? Curious too...

Hmmm.. all accidents are avoidable.. This is a lesson learnt... Dun repeat it again, and next time, listen and follow what is advised/taught by the more experienced riders...

Well, learn the bike before speeding, as speeding is meaningless without control..
