eh ..

i wack the bike 150 for a long distance than

got smoke from my pipe even aft i off my engine.

the smoke coming for like 5mins plus.the smell not like 2t le.

means got any prob in my bike??lol

Rider125, that means your bearings are fried. The white smoke is the plastic bearings all melted. Will cost you labour about $1K and parts worth of $2.5K to fix.

How much is the cost for servicing (including valve servicing) and how often do i need to clean the valve? Also what 2T is recommended for this bike? Appreciate all answers . Thanks in advance. Thinking of upgrading the rear shocks to ohlins. Anybody knows where to get and roughly how much?

Servicing got to First Motor. Affordable, valve servicing alone is $25.

 

Ohlins, look for AF1 forum. Not sure if they still have stock. Now should be about $1.4K including gst and shipping.

Yes it does.

 

If its too rich (means too much petrol), bike will be boggy.. It dont really wanna pull fast.

But if its too lean (means too little petrol), you may just risk a piston seizure.

 

I believe there's some posts in here by the seniors which explains the benefits of proper carb tuning in here somewhere. Just gotta search thru.

 

Juz wondering, how come you're asking abt Aprilia huh? Tempted to give it a go ah?

When I was 18, went to enroll 2B with a friend (who happens to be in sbf also). Both of us wanted the Aprilia badly.

 

My late dad found out about me trying to take my license and told me to stop. Followed his wish till he passed away.. Last Jan I finally passed my 2B and didnt even think of any other bike to ride. Not even the new model RS. I was 100% sure I wanted the Y2K models.

 

Finally got the bike, contacted my friend and went to his place to show him OUR dream bike. He LOL-ed due to 2 things. The colour of my bike and my damn P-Plate.. Went up to the mscp where he showed me his R1

 

Point is, one day you should go for what your heart tells you. If that has been you dream bike all along, by all means, go for it!

 

My CL2 bike in the future will still be an Aprilia.. RSV4 or not, dunno yet... Still long way to go and been going back and forth between the RSV4 and Dorsoduro...

RSV4 IS GOOOOOOOD!!!! RS125 is just as good considering the great handling and acceleration in the 2B cls. rode other 2b bikes b4. nothing comes close to an RS with u are talking about handling and the breaks are superb! RSV4 has the best gear box. APRILIAS are just great when it come to make a well balanced sportsbike.

wa...... i think you neeed to full overhaul soon... if smoke coming out automatically even after engine is shut means internal burning.... why never pour water into the exhaust pipe?

 

HAha no la jk... I also do not know what causes smoking even after engine is shut off....

How long is your long distance?....

If yr bike had build up sufficient heat range for a period of time and all the while yr bike is running rich, the heat in yr expanding chamber is burning off the accumulated carbon n unburn oil within yr exhaust system. Even u have stop running yr engine, the heat will take a while to cool down to it stop burning the the residue.

It look so funny that u are asking all this questions. Look at those bikes & cars that you had owned.....

Anyway, most of them go First motor, but i'm not. If you want ohlins, u can get it from HKL, i think they can order for you and they can service Ohlins shock next time when you want to change oil or seal.

ohlins.. hmmm.. how to put it... ur like riding on air?..

obviously parts which focus on handling like brakes and suspension, aftermarkets are better ahh..

other parts depends on your taste.

you feel a more smooth rebound.... I suggest you ride till your stock suspension give way because stock suspension can't be serviced..... Then decide to upgrade to an aftermarket part.... That way you can feel the difference that justifies the money spent and at the same time more economical to use your current suspension unless you plan to sell it...

 

Just my 2 cents.
