Thanks for the info Tknge. I'm quite aware of the specs, just wondering which is supposedly better. I've heard something about improving mid range, top end etc. Not too sure.

How do these work actually?

Lawrence prefers the boyseen reeds to the Vforce 3 actually. He's tried both if i'm not wrong. What do you have on your bike, and what do you recommend?

Yes, he tried both and preferred boyesen reeds. I have Vforce 3 but has not install yet. Going to do it soon as I just passed my 14years bike inspection.

About how it actually work......mmmm....I m not good in putting into words but I will try to make it simple....and it is a bit complicated.:cheeky:

The reeds are opening and closing during the combustion action. When piston down stroke, the reeds open and allow air to drawing in by the piston action. The reeds close when piston in up stroke action. Both manufacturer claimed their design optimize the flow of air in speed, volume and throttle control. But basic it still depend on the size & type of carb being use, I think.....

As far as I think, throttle feel really depend on the reeds material being use. The opening & closing of the reeds is by bending action due to change in pressure. If the material is too hard, the opening is restricted, the throttle will feel lag. If the material is too soft, the closing is not fast enough, the throttle also feel lag. I think manufacturer is getting a balance within them, allow throttle feel in its optimum operation, thats why rider will feel good and say " wah.....bike got power"......:angel:

Above may not be true, may be others can add in more....:)

If base on opening outlet size, Vforce 3 will have bigger volume, it hase 4 segment whereas our original only have 2 segment. But feel, it depends on bike condition, setting and carb being use....

Thanks tknge, that's definitely very useful!

Ask your workshop to dismentle the whole fork unit, including the bottom yoke of the inner tube. Go to yellow pages or green book, search for "Kong Heng" surface treatment house at AMK industrial park, bring down your inner tube only, tell them you want to re-chrome this tube to 25um thickness. It should be about $100 only. If they quote you more, negotiate with them. It take about 3 days only.

the only thing that's gonna bother me is that you all call yourself my friends.

Hi tknge,

Is the b/m the one you're talking about ? Can't find any surface treatment house.

If just the chrome layer being scratch, yes. Once the old layer being removed, when re-plated with new layer of chrome, it will smooth out the whole surface again. If the scatching had cut into the base metal or rust being corroded into the base metal, after replating, you will see a fine line on the surface. Once way is request them to strip for you, check the condition, if it is really corroded into the base metal, bring back to use sand paper to smooth it out then return to them for re-plating. If you can do it together with the other guys, it will reduce the cost.:)

anyone got any recomendation for mirror with signal light to fit on rs125 and looks nice? thanks

I'm looking forward to you collecting your stuff from Lawrence. Who knows, he might promise to meet u at a certain time, and then forget. Hahaha. :cheeky:

Personally light integrated mirrors are a waste of money. When you crash, you almost always lose your mirrors, now you're losing more expensive mirrors.
