Firstly, ask yrself why u want to deviate from manufacturer spec? Yours ignorant, bo chap, con by workshop or testing maximum allowance size for manufacturer with you life? Secondly, why buy a pant with waist size of 35? when your waist is only 29"? Thirdly, when you take a bus from point A to point B is cost only 65 cents, why you throw in 85 cents? :faint::faint::faint:

3" rim size use 110, 4" rim size use 140 or 150.

3.5" rim size use 120 or 130, 4.5" rim size use 150 or 160.

Take your pick.....

Man it's ok, no one born with knowledge about everything. U can just go to the tyre brends' website and can find the product spec, pay some attention to the rim range then can choose good tyre fits ur rim. There are unfit tyre-rim choice everywhere, some every made by the factory(ie, some curiser have only 2.5" rear rim but put 130/140 soto tyre!). Since most of the guys on riding on the street and use way below the proformance limit of the tyre, i honestly dun think it's a life-death deal. It just make ugly worn pattern of the tyre (maybe hurts the wallet a bit worse than stock tyres) and reduce the performance when lean the bike down through the corner. U try switch back to stock spec then u feel the difference, after this u can learn something at least.

Cheers and for a safe ride~

Hi all, want to group buy new model dunlop tire? You may not need it now but sooner or later you still need to change right?:)

The new model is Alpha-12, replacing current Alpha-10 & 11. Sin distributor also has not receiving any newest Alpha-12 from the agent yet. You also hardly find it in the web yet as it is very new. It has multiple compound that improve over the old 10 & 11. It has 7 segment compound across the tire surface that is to say center is hardest and gradually softer to the side. I can get a good price may be around 240~260 a pair if group buy response is good. The old 10 or 11 is about 280~310 on the market now. Let me know how interested you are.:thumb:

If checked with Dunlop.co.jp, u will find out that actually there are two lines of product in A-12. The ZR tyre which can hold speed limit to 300km/hr have the 7 segments on the rear tyre, the Z tyre which hold up to 240(260?) have the 3 segments on rear tyre as well as BT003RS. 7 segments maybe looks attractive but there's a reason they divided the tyre into two lines. The ZR tyre design to take big bike's power, so the tyre wall will be harder which i believe the structure will be a bit different compared to Z tyres. For lighter bike like us i think will have a prob in the corner due to not enough weight to make the tyre grip. I am also concerned about the tyre temp and worn out will be abnormal.

But i guess on the road riding for "song" shouldn't be a problem, got money wanna put slick tyre also can LOL...

thx shinya ....im just being honest , when i know its wrong i learn from my mistake ...i cherish my life ,i even bought the Shoei FF , alpine gear to wear when rounding with frd becos i tink life is more important ..

now i have to wait for my leg to recover from sport injuries and i will find some aprilian to tag along to go First Motor to get some thing done before i ride my bike ,as for my tyre i tink i can only change at june becos its pretty new and i hardly go rounding with frds ,simple reason is i hate sp/krr rider, they use their life to ride instead of riding with their skills

No worry, seems like you got con by workshop. Next time do your homework first before commit anything to the workshop. In Sin you hardly find good & honest workshop.

Yup, you are right. I still wait to verify the actual stock first. I don't think the seller even know about all this. For our rating, H rated tire is the right selection. But for more of them are using for road use, ZR should not be a problem.:thumb:

There isn't any "ohlin" chain, only O-ring chain. For size of 520 Oring chain should be about $120~140 depend on lenght type. Normal spocket would be steel type and it is cheap. Therefore $250 is abit over px.

I m not a tire seller nor owing a bike shop. I can't fix tire for you. What I can do is get a place for everyone for installation with a bulk px.

If yours is RS125, wrong size. If yours is RS250, right size. I will need to check out 250 size price.

sounds cool, do update again on the place for installation, and price for the 250 size ya, thxs man, Cheers. .

Btw, 520 size DID O ring is less than 100 from Weda. DID X ring is 120 from there.

thxs bro, think i'll try buying it from them and send to my mechanic to fix up.

Completely agree. I had a friend fit a 160/60 rear tyre before. It was dangerous close to the chain, when u tilt the bike, the chain actually rubs the tyre slightly. Imagine when you are cornering???

Very stupid to think that bigger tyre is better. Btw, class 2A bikes all do not use rear 160/60. My RVF is using a 150/60, same as the RS125. Only the front is bigger, 120/60.

If I'm not wrong, only the Super4s are using 160/60.

Best advice would be always do your homework. Your mech is not a degree holder to tell you what's best. Check online, ask the seniors in this thread. That is what I always do.

I am think using A-12 or Diablo Supercorsa as my next set of tyre....

Diablo Supercorsa no doubt the most performance design tyre, but right now i feel comfortable with my A-10. Not sure can make use of the extreme Diablo or can adapt to A-12 anot.....real headache choice :p

If yrs is 94~98 model, that is the right size because F rim is 3". The last model is using F3.5" so F 120/60, R 150/60 or R 160/60.
