Since I'm in here awhile.. As mentioned before, RS riders keen on tracking,i have leather suits which I'm don't mind loaning out to.. All u need is to get yr own inner liner/undersuit whatever u want to call it.

I have 5 spare suits n They are all in my size, 48-50

But only thing is if u crashed in it, u just pay for the patching

Hi bro! Saw your post on loaning your suit. I might wanna try go on track in next few month's track day. Mind pm me how much? Much appreciated bro! (:

Hey guys,

Mr Eddy Rossi is organising a meetup tmr, Sat, 28/05/11 at Holland V at 10pm. If you're interested to come, please let me know.

He's bringing riders from outside the forum. Would be nice to get to know other aprilia riders.

Those who are keen to follow me up on Sun to see the race should drop by too. So we can plan where to meet etc.

Will definitely be a fun race to watch. Looking forward to it!

Lastly, hahahaha.. It's soooo easy to push the buttons of a man going through menopause. Love it!

Guys, I think it's enough talk from all of you. Let us be civil and courteous. This is a public forum, any personal issues should be discussed elsewhere. I recommend the PM function.

Now, let us go back to discussing what this thread was created for, our lovely Italian RS125.

Hey guys,

This sunday is the BRS at Pasir Gudang. Thinking of going down to see how the local RS125s are performing against the intense competition.

From what I hear, it's going to be superduper exciting. Apparently, 1 RS125 rider has been boasting alot about how good he is, so the KRRs are all gearing up for some revenge. It should be a fun race. One of our riders, blaquepearl is racing, and he has invited supporters to his Pit no. 22.

Anyone interested in following me?? Race is at 3pm. We can meet about 12.30pm, and take a slow ride up to PG. So far, got 1 or 2 riders coming already. Anyone else??

Anyways I believe the guru L is more experienced on this, anyways i believe it is recommended to up your spark plug heat value(?) when you change carb the 28 runs on an 8, while the 34 should run on a 10 although no problems on my side running a 9. Very vague information here citation needed.

I'm not a guru, I'm just an avid self-taught tinkerer.

There's no rule about changing plug heat ratings after changing carbs. It depends on tuning.

If you want to lean out the mixture, you can change specific jets to change the mixture at specific throttle openings. You can also change the float height, thus altering the fuel level in the float bowl and leans the mixture out. You can also change to a higher heat rated plug, ie. the smaller the number the hotter the plug. Hotter plugs will lean your mixture slightly, and carbon builds up less quickly at idle.

haha ... i guess what u mean is belly .. haha end can itself does no diff. haha...

Yup, expansion chamber makes a lot of difference, as Andrew will attest to. The muffler only makes a difference in the decibels department.

thanks alot! but you sure this one fit nicely into the airbox? is this the one L is using?

Will fit, and yes, L is using it. It is not a 100% fit. Need to squeeze a bit.

Yes, AL-1004.

It is not a perfect fit but it is the best fit for any panel filter.

The 2 sides of the rear end must be shaved off to fit into the tapered airbox.

Yes, probably just to warn you to slow down, or he wanted to stop you but was called away for more important traffic matters, like an accident nearby.

hi all, wan to ask one battery can be use for how long? how long need to change one?

A battery that is properly conditioned using a proper battery charger can last for 5-10 years with a good charge.

Most shops in SG don't charge the battery proper, especially new bikes, that's why new bikes batteries last for a few months to a year max.

Those batt chargers in workshops do not recondition the batteries first before charging. Better to get a proper batt charger (very compact, about $90) to recondition your battery properly.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

Hi all,

Was reading the rs125 manual and it says that bike should start up by pressing only the starter button without opening the throttle.

My bike doesnt seem to be able to do that. Always need to give it abit of throttle for it to start. After starting need to throttle as well to prevent it from dieing.

What could be wrong? Idle rpm not high enough?

Get your carb re-tune.. Go 37 motoring and ask our Mr Ah Seng to do it for you. (:

So normally the bike should start without throttle and start immediately after pressing the start button?

Do we need to use choke in singapore climate?

Yah, was thinking my bike could be running leans as its a stock bike with arrow exhaust.

Saw sub zero mentioning somewhere back that stock with arrow exhaust should up 2 jet sizes?

Yup. Change your main jet to 135 if you're using 28mm stock carb. It should be fine. Normally, i don't turn on the choke in the morning UNLESS the engine stop due to insufficient petrol flows. You just turn it on for about 10 secs than off it and let it idle on itself. :)

Hi,

For 34mm flat-slide: Is it ok if i put the needle clip on the top ?

And also, i find it hard to put the throttle cable inside the hole! Help!

Thanks

Hm.. But main jet size should not affect my start up right?

Should i adjust the screw that controls the air/fuel mixture?

Btw I'm still running in the bike so have not gone above 6k rpm yet

hey, just to clarify. is there anyway to reset the mileage on the bike? maybe a engine rebuild or overhaul or sth. cause i was told by the seller that if i wanted a low mileage ill have to buy a new speedometer costing about 400dollars. but that doesnt rly makes sense to me.
