happi lunar new yr to u guys! was at the seletar dam(i think) last night ard 3am+. saw a y2k wit colour changing pole lights dragging with some nsr150s. and i think saw a mito too haha. and the nsr150 which had an accident was ard 4 or 5am plus rite? poor guy wearing red shirt was from the grp which i joined... a yellow paintjob.

OK, lets have an outing to view fireworks at Marina tomorrow. The fireworks will start at 9pm so we have to meet earlier than that n especially our group whom r always late even riding an Aprilia. How on earth u guys can be late always...???!!! Next time ride bicycle n stick aprilia logo on it then maybe I believe the reasons.....

 

For those who wants to go, we have to meet at Marina South at that Disco in front food court at 7pm. At about 7.30-7.40pm we start to ride into the Marina South Park n take the fireworks view from there then at at about 9.30pm we go rounding.

 

CNY outing to view fireworks at Marina South on 30 Jan 2006 Monday. Time 7pm Marina South Disco entrance... that food court. Park in front of that food court there.

 

All bikes of any make n model may come. Look out for aprilia n thats us.

dear friends... need some advice? my bike got knocked over by a taxi... claiming insurance... went to idac already... like i got damage to the ferrings... just wondering if i can change the ferrings or just respray it?

was at yishun dam or seletar dam? dunno lah, the dam after jalan kayu :p with another RS125 today around 1am...saw 2 more RS125 park further down, 1 FU plate something...anyone of you guys here?

Hey Jonathan,

 

1stly, i dont really buy this crap abt how 2 strokes blow. blow to cool their engines or watever.. Maybe it's correct la.. technically.. i dunno..

 

My opinion is that it doesnt.. So wat if you blow, more 2T come in? 2t supposed to cool the engine meh? I thot 2T is used to fricking lubricate the block so piston dont jam... And if you remember correctly, twisting the throttle doesnt just casue 2t to flow. but also petrol.. So you cause mroe petrol to come in, and burn and do wat? cool the engine or work it more?? Pls explain it to me.. coz i really dunno, this is what i think only..

 

Frankly, i think those idiots who blow, blow, just did it to action la.. pls la, so fricking obvious.. they blow like hell just when they go past us.. we not that stupid la.. for wat blow jus a small fricking annoying sound bike also i dont understand.. Luckily i din have my bike la.. I'd show them wat a really 2stroke should sound like.. and make them smell my 2T when i blow, blow to 'cool' my engine when i fly past them...

 

And regarding Jieliang's riding style, i suggest if you have any comments, you should make them in a more useful manner.. Everyone has their own riding style.. And if you're not on the bike, itself, you would know how the person who rides it, actually rides it.. What do you mean he doesnt use engine brake that much??? Just for your info ah, i also dont use engine brake that much.. Coz i dont want to stress the engine and gearbox.. So i compensate by braking much earlier and therefore minimal engine braking.. But when i ride, i whack the bike... coz i know how much the bike can take.. I was riding the mito the other day.. No comments abt me meh?

 

Frankly i get irritated with people who use heavy engine braking as it causes extra wear and tear in my opinion.. But what to do? Not my bike, all i can do is say gently.. Different ppl different riding styles.. simple as that.. And Jieliang is a good rider, in my opinion anyway.. you havent seem him handle the rs125 like how i have.. And he's proven his worth on track also..

 

One day, we meet at dam.. you show us how to engine brake or come to stop or watever.. we'll discuss the different theories ya?

well bros i'm juz commenting on wad might have been the true facts...

and it's not very nice to denounce ppl whose actions might be seemed show off, which inturn might have been served their purpose. :sweat:

oh, and i'm not a racer wit superb corning or drag racing techniqs, i juz learning as much as i can on how to take care of my engine, by reading up or hearing comments from my friends.

and vik, inducing more 2t to the engine does bring more petrol to the engine for combustion, since 2t pump is controlled by the movement of the throttle. and in doing so when clutching in cools off the engine as the engine is not under load and encourages more 2t to line the engine components & into the combustion chamber. and 2t does serves it's purpose inside the chamber too.

same goes to richer jettings. richer jettings would not have a more complete combustion than a leaner one. wad i can understand is since the combustion is not complete, some petrol is still unburned, that unburnt petrol is carrying away the heat away from the combustion chanber. another conclusion is the temp. as we all noe, piston seizure is caused by overheating of the engine? a more complete combustion most prob would have a higher temp than a less complete one?

and i've read up in order to minimised the chances of seizure when cruising at a high speed, it's highly recommended to play ard with ur throttle, as when the rpm's drops, the engine'll cool off a little.

 

and wad i meant is using engine brake to slow down after u wack the bike on a high rpm is very stressful on the engine koz the 2t flow is decreased when u closed the throttle. and u noe wad happens inside the engine during dat.:sweat:

 

well guys, i'm pretty sure you all are gd riders, and have the guts to handle ur bikes very well at turns or straights. haiz juz offering my side of facts ma...:cry:

funny, bro if use this tatic u so call claim i install fan better right save petrol.

 

if ur main purpose is about cooling down engine, install a god damm fan.

 

im no bike expert nor what eva from what i know using common sense

 

when u throttle as in rev up ur bike engine starts producing higher rev's and increase heat produced by the piston.

 

ONLY when u close the throttle the heat decrease the rubbing of heat slows down.

 

funny but ur thingy might be true ? well its a wasted of petrol.

 

my call for u. Install a Fan.
