a funny story:

 

so there was this sparrow who thought that he wanted to be different, and decided that he would not fly south even though all his friends were doing so. "What mindless morons, flying south when the air is still so warm," he said. For some time, he was having fun, eating all the seeds he could get because noone else was around. Soon, however, the seeds ran out, the days became shorter, and the chill wind started to pick up.

 

One day, it was so cold, he decided that he had enough, and that his friends were probably right, and better be late than never, so he decided to fly south on his own.

 

He took into the air, and quickly after that, the wind was so cold that his wings froze, and he could not flap them. He quickly plummeted to the snow near a flock of cattle, where he lay there, miserable and bitter; waiting to be trampled upon by the big hooves of the cows. He regretted that he did not follow his friends earlier, when the weather was still bearable.

 

Just as he was laying there, a cow grazing nearby excreted onto him, adding further insult to injury. Fortunately for the sparrow, however, the excrement was warm enough to melt the ice, and the sparrow realized that now he could fly again! He was so happy that he started to sing.

 

A cat, who happened to be nearby, heard the most incongruous sound of a bird chirping in the middle of winter, ran over and found our sparrow. He picked the sparrow up from the excrement, and after giving the sparrow a thorough cleaning, he ate the sparrow.

 

 

So, what can we learn from the story?

 

1. Just because everybody does it, does not mean that they are wrong.

2. Not everybody who shits on you means to harm you.

3. Not everybody who picks you up from sh*t means you well.

4. If you are warm and happy in a pile of sh*t, shut up.

yo bro, hope dat u remembered me. we met at racewerks last week or so wit a friend of urs on a 3month old aprilia? i'm the guy in blue work overalls.

hows ur bike liao? did william did a gd job to tune up ur ride? heheh...

btw i remembered ur friend's bike was very very loud even when idling. sounds like a kup chai wit tonged exhaust!

anyway is it possible dat his valve was staying open all the time?

koz from the other mito forum, some guy was mentioning abt his bike can oni max rev up to 9k+ oni. dunno where he got the info from, he concluded dat some kind of electronic restriction was preventing the exhaust valve from opening fully at full rev. so wad he did is to locate a single yellow connector from the wire harness of the servo motor operating on the exhaust valve & disconnected it. and hey presto! after he did dat, his bike can rev up to 11k+ liao.

ah hah and i did locate the connector & disconnected it and tried it out. feels dat the power came at lower rpm then be4. however after i tried moving off at a stop junction, i noticed the acceleration is very weak & uncertain, plus the exhaust sounds at idling is extremely sharp & loud! but the power came ard 5k+ rpm after which the bike really takes off!

i stopped & parked at a deserted open area, opened up the valve cover where i can see the opening & closing of the valve markings & i rev up slowly. i noticed the valve is at the fully opened position after i open the valve cover. the valve stayed opened at all rpms. after i connected back the yellow wire & tried again. this time, the valve goes back to closed position & started to move ard 7000rpm, opening fully at a higher rpm afterwards.

thus i concluded the yellow wire might carried a signal to the servo motor as to when to actutate the valve. the valve might be forced open by the exhaust gases leaving earlier after i disconnected the yellow wire & trying out the bike.

and so most prob the chap din have his valve adjusted properly, so it wun open fully even at the max rpm... in disconnecting the yellow wire, the valve is easily being forced fully open by the escaping exhaust gas, therefore he can rev to 11k rpm...

Track sessions is at RM75 per session (250cc & below) are as follows:

 

Saturday 1 Apr 2006 - 2 PM to 6 PM.

Sunday 2 Apr 2006 - 9 AM to Noon.

 

I also feel tempted to go leh. Anyone interested want to go ha? Still got two week to plan.
