We know of a secret location to do jettings.

 

Its a deserted 1.5km stretch, no traffic, away from prying eyes, and pretty straight for long runs of WOT. Beautiful stretch of runway, heavy foliage, no coppers.

 

I have jet sizes from 140 to 160.

Yah, but my cooking skills not so good as Uncle Alan, I only know how to mix 2T and petrol But I'm looking for a birdcage now so that I can also enjoy sitting at the void deck and enjoying an unstressed life!

Meetup ah? Might be having a plug-chopping session week after next, plus maybe a coolant flushing session to compare Redline Waterwetter, Maxima Coolaide and Engine Ice. As for makan meetup, just met up 2 days ago so not sure if can drag some of them out again   2A? It's been so many months yet I haven't found time or energy for a single lesson

My replacement con-rod is the original rotax one. My mech didnt charge me extra cause I had my bike done up at his shop onli. He dont do open business which means even if that someone willing to pay him, he might not want to do the bike for him. He works one man show onli. However if Alan wants to do anything on his bike, he will. Everyone have a mechanic whom we individually trust, so I dont like to discuss too much about this issue which can be quite sensitive at many a time.

 

The main thing we come to this forum is to make more friends who share the same passion, to get help on techanical issues, to gain more knowledge about our bikes, to have friendly outings, to learn from others' mistake n improve or avoid it. So whatever we want to post here on this forum should be thought over at least once so that others reading it will have the correct idea n information.

Jonathan why dont u go to a good mech u trust n let him do the setting of ur bike for u? DIY is good cause u will learn from there but if u screw up the settings n in-turn damage ur engine bit by bit, one day u might have to overhaul ur engine.....

 

Ur current carb I suggest u to use 150 or 155 main jet. Premix 100ml of 2t into 10 litre of petrol to play safe just in case ur 2t is too lean at high rpm. but 150/155 main on 32mm carb, it is not very road friendly. A good mech can plot n tune ur 28mm carb to such a way that it is road friendly, fuel economy n bring ur top speed faster a bit than ur current 32 carb. But the price tag might be S$150. U have my number so give me a call if u interested.

Mike, I dont think what I post previously is against anyone. Dont need to PM me cause I did not target anyone..... less he himself feels that he is in the wrong. I have not gone in to ARC for sometime liao though it is a good thing we have that forum in Singapore. Being a owner or a moderater of that forum doesnt mean u dont provoke ppl of what u do to others. u mean port & tune my carb? wow $$$... but u meant polishing the venturi of the carb or some machining is actually done? koz got ppl diy to polish the venturi... but the benefits are unknown...

wat if they follow ur recommended jets and rideability hard to ride ??

and the price wise u sure everytime is same $150 wat if their thing spoil exceeded the price..who they blame U or the MECH...u think la??

say mech chop them la this and tt but do they realise sometime is the bike really spoil..

EG.wash valve $15 but if ur valve break $15 include give u a working condition valve or not ????

tt why best prices let the PROFESional TELL u unless u r the PROFEssional that is doing the bike for them and u wanna qoute then i think u r the best person to give them the quote....
