Hotel summary during trip up north:

Hua Hin

Hotel Name: Fresh Inn Hotel

Price: 1,500 Baht with western breakfast for 2 (not buffet)

Comments: Nice cozy room with centralized location. Parking lot available behind hotel which is locked at night

Nakhon Ratchasima

Hotel Name: Ratchapruck Grand Hotel

Price: 1,000 Baht with buffet breakfast for 2

Comment: Hotel is old, I got disturbed at night.. Perhaps the room is haunted? :p Bike can park at hotel main entrance, near valet parking counter

Khon Kean

Hotel Name: Kosa Hotel

Price: 1,200 Baht with buffet breakfast for 2

Comment: Posh and good location. With gym and sauna. Parking available in front of hotel. Kosa Shopping Center is in front of hotel. Highly recommended!

Sukhothai

Hotel Name: Old City Guesthouse

Price: 500 Baht with only 2 free bottles of mineral water (cheapest at 100 Baht for 1 bed, sharing with others in long house)

Comment: Bare basic place with old furnishings. Only English TV channel is Fashion TV. Bike can park in front of doorstep.

Chiang Rai

Hotel Name: Wang Come Hotel

Price: 900 Baht with buffet breakfast for 2

Comment: Near proper massage parlours and restaurants. Big open air parking with security. None smoking hotel, even in rooms.

Chiang Mai

Hotel Name: Night Bazaar Inn

Price: 600 Baht with only 2 free bottles of mineral water

Comment: Basement sheltered parking for bikes. Very central location to night bazaar, massage and restaurants.

Mae Hong Son

Hotel Name: Panorama Hotel

Price: 500 Baht with only 2 free bottles of mineral water

Comment: Not recommended. Rooms rundown with no turndown service. Private parking next door with hose for washing bikes.

Phitsanulok

Hotel Name: U-Thong Hotel

Price: 380 Baht with simple breakfast (choice of toast or congee)

Comment: Cheap and newly renovated rooms. Bathroom setup a little odd, toilet roll is situated outside the bathroom. Bike parking quite small with security watch.

Lopburi

Hotel Name: Lopburi Residence Hotel

Price: 600 Baht with buffet breakfast for 2 and dinner voucher for 2!!

Comment: Simple hotel with bare amenities. 10 Baht massage chairs in the lobby. Don't use the internet at the lobby, super slow! Bellman has lobang if you want extras..

Ayutthaya

Hotel Name: Ayothaya Hotel

Price: 650 Baht with only 2 free bottles of mineral water

Comment: Guesthouses at the back are cheaper with private parking for bikes. Don't stay next to room 206 (205 & 207). Room 206 is sealed shut from the outside. We think something fishy happened in the room.

Kanchanaburi

Hotel Name: Luxury Hotel

Price: 600 Baht with no fridge and 700 Baht with fridge. 2 free bottles of mineral water only

Comment: Location is okay. Bike parking is available right in front of the hotel. Less than 5km ride away from the bridge over river Kwai. 10 minutes walk to pasar malam. Cheap laundry. 10 Baht for 1 piece of clothing (without ironing)

Comment: Very good location for food, massage and shopping. Rooms are newly renovated. Good selection of TV channels. Bellman has lobangs for special requests. :p
