if u off the standby menu,

press menu button, select connectivity, select Wlan, the wizard will auto search for it.

if the standby menu is switch on, there will be a line stated "Wlan scanning off"

select that line to search for wlan..

Did you enable the WEP and MAC Filter on your router?

there is 2 ways to secure a wireless routor if not, everyone near yr house can access internet at yr cost thru a device that can wifi..

 

WEP is a passphase or like a password set by the routor or yrself..

so u hav to set the rite password for that access point(yr home router) in order to use the internet..

 

mac filter is setting yr wifi-enable device identity number(mac address) into the routor so that onli these devices u key in can access to internet.. for nokia phone, the mac address is found at the back of the phone, remove the batt and find for "mac address"
