Urgent! Yishun Ring Rd/Khatib Camp Accident. Appeal for Witnesses

oh no.. when the ambulance came, i was alright with no pains here or there when they moved me and checked me.. so i din take the ambulance to the hospital.. later into the night i felt pains in my arms and aching so i went to see the doctor at A&E at tan tock seng.. but that was already 4-6 hrs after the incident happened.. the TP told me tt if after i seen the doctor and he gave me a MC of 3 days or more, den i'll have to go down and make the police report myself.. so i'm confused here with what i should do..

better go up the ambulance if u had kissed the road. god knows if u have concussion or internal injuries. better get it checked. body aches all over is normal for few days after accidents. get well soon bro

Go make a police report since u wanna do a claim on the person.

 

bring your police report and mc to your insurance company.

 

if not ask you bike shop to do the claim for you.

 

if you really hate the taxi driver so much.. decalre your bike beyond repair, scrap and calim total loss.

just a guide: if you are damn sure you are in the right / right of way

 

when accident happens.

 

1: if possible get up and walk to the road side.

 

2: check on yourself any sharp pain here and there, bleeding ( cos usually won't feel the pain the the moment of shock)

 

3: make sure the mf that ban you don't shift his vehicle

 

4: call for police and ambulance

 

5. exhange particular (IC & driving licience + tel no.) with the mf. ( if can't ask someone that walk past do it for u)

 

6: take photo of the vehicle and surrounding.

 

7:wait for the police and ambulance come... complain here pain there pain.

 

8*: get yourself warded if possible ( ideal will be 3days)

 

 

police will come take statment themselve if u are warded or brought there by ambulance

after discharge.

 

1. go to the bike shop where your bike is. tell the shop say you wanna claim that mf.. you wanna scrap the bike. ( as long as you wanna scrap the bike.. even if it's just fairing crack or handle bar twisted, go ahead.. reason: cos even repair also unsafe to ride). leave the rest of the job to the shop ( nego with the shop the commission they will be taking from you.. cos you need to pay for the law firm legal fee also"

 

2. take back all your bike parts that's valueable and sell online.. don't let the shop have it as they already earning alot from you. if not tell them they take parts commsion void.

 

3.rest at home and wait for money to come ( around 6months -1year)

 

*clear all your installment if you wanna scrap bike

i been tru this before and for my case (2003).. i took 9months to calim due to some installment to clear and the mf don't wanna admit his fault at 1st.

 

my bike: i bought from a friend at $1.5k. when scrapped, market value $2k

injury: fracture my wraist ( no operation)

 

insurance calim:

$3k for bike. (brought at $1.5k)

$1.5k for medical bill pay. (i spent around $1k)

$5.8k for don't know what pycological fear or damage( this 1 crap la.. your lawyer will say u will have fear blah blah blah)

$1000 for loss of transport claim ( i took bus and mrt for 4months)

total claim: $11.3k. after deduct the 10% to shop and 10% to law firm. still got 9.3k.

 

after that bought super 4 whahahaa

waaa.. i'm impressed by what happened to you man.. wow.. the other party reali suffered lots.. money wise.. my bike installment cleared anyway.. i aint sure wad parts are valuable thou.. but nevertheless.. police investigatin now.. i went back hosp and got my hand in a cast nw and 6 days more MC.. can see the pic for the cast..

 

act i'm at a disadvantage here cuz after the accident, the other guy called his motorshop insurance guy or wad come down.. after TP ambulance go.. i kena cornered and i damn scared and still in shock from accident, den felt super threatened and scared, kena forced to write and sign stuff.. i tink he made write things which made me admit i was at fault.. i couldnt rem.. after tt.. the next day i called him back askin for the paper but he say if i want take back can but i will be at more loss.. in a very fierce and threatening tone.. any advice for me? cuz of this, no bike shop wana take my case.. sigh.. so nw i'm waiting for police investigation.. damn depressed by this.. now den i rem..

i currently have made a police report le.. and now i also have said what u said.. but only ting is wad i wrote is very detrimental to my case.. even the bike shop boss also feel tt i have 50-50 chance only.. if i can find witness that saw me going along the road or saw him like being agrresive towards me, even better.. i reali hope for the best.. am going to go out look for witness around the area now..

Why do you need a witness if TP and Ambulance were at the scene? They surely have records of what happened. I believe TP should have a all the details you need - details of those involved, road condition, various sketches (position of the vehicles, tyre breaking marks, their lengths, etc.). They should also have the details of the witnesses, if any.

In this case TP are your friends - try to find and speak to the officers who were at the scene and see if they are on your side..

Normally, you should speak to your Insurance people ASAP and ask them what papers/evidence they need from you, submit those papers and wait.. Then it will be Insurance fighting each other, you just relax for the time being.

What you have to remember, is that Insurance guys do not like to pay and would always try to screw the other party, so make sure you have TP and Ambulance backing you up, i.e. the LAW is on your side..

 

However, emotions aside, the way you come across here... Hmm.. Are you sure your are telling everything and your statement of account is truth and nothing but the truth? That cabbie might have his own version of events, not necessarily the same as yours.. See what am trying to say? So, get in touch with the coppers and the best of luck to you, mate!

thx for giving me advice man.. appreciate it alot.. the TP n ambulance left w/o doing anything besides checking on me and taking down my particulars.. other den tt, all witnesses were either riders or passengers whom i did not manage to catch before i was in a less hazy state of mind.. the passengers of the cab left before i could even see who it was n the riders left immediately before i could even say thx.. sigh.. bad luck on my side here.. i'm currently trying to look for the TP but offices are closed on weekends is it? i tried calling but i couldnt get thru.. wad i'm tellin u all here is what i reali experienced.. from what i could rem clearly tt is.. the driver said he only saw me when he was one arrow distance away from me.. tt is wt he said.. as for wt he is going to tell his insurance.. i dunoe already.. still.. thx for ur advice and i will keep it to my mind..

ya.. been lookin for witnesses the past three days le.. asked joggers, passerbys, even camp guards and bookin in personnel.. been there for 3 days at least 3 hrs each time.. even go up to each flat to look for people who heard or seen anything.. thr was even one auntie who laughed so loudly at me when she heard wad i was doing n said it was impossible to find anyone den kept laughin n laughin until i was quite upset n juz told her i was just doin what i can do.. thr was even a few people who was riding bicycle quickly speed up when they reached me n rode past me without care for anything.. sigh.. these past days been reali depressing..

i feel for you bro, i had an accident near yishun street 72 this year too, when i lay on the ground, got 1 uncle who witness everything helped me up, i told him i need him to be witness, when the police taking down my particulars, he went off without me noticing, lucky got another uncle help me be witness. good luck bro, maybe you can try asking the riders from khatib mac, kfc or even the drive-thru ones? cause they move around the area, there might be a chance they witness the accident, you never know. anyway hope you can get witness soon.

thx alot man.. u were lucky to have tt uncle to help u out as a witness.. the witnesses tt were on scene either left on a cab tt came along or rode off after seeing i was better and when the TP came.. i'm goin to try askin ard these places le.. hope i get some clues.. most of the residents in the area heard the loud crash den came out n took a look.. one was near enough to see me rolling on the ground after it happened but still din see how it happened.. hope i get more clues as the day goes..
