Mine is a SW400. I have a throttle position marker on the throttle itself. I usually move off at less than 1/4 throttle open position. So far when i am travelling on expressway, I hardly open to 1/2 throttle but it can achieve 90km/h to 100km/h

Juz top up synergy 5000 12.9L, mileage 298km

Summary of trip

map http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv287/josephsbs/Pengerang%20Trip%20Nov%202009/PengerangTrip_Nov2009.jpg

start with a leisurely Jason Bay at the east coast of M'sia, north of Desaru. enjoy a few moments of breeze, photo session and rest for our butts. tide levels forecasted to be going down, near midway towards low. followed by a 1hr coastal ride down to Sungei Renggit (Pengarang), passing desaru on the way. the trunk road down is rather nice but don't get carried away by the sea view, do look out for a few wok sized craters.

LUNCH!!! lets have different styles of lobsters; we had deep fried, stir fry with cheeze and braised with sauce during the last trip. we didn't manage to eat the famous deep fried baby lobsters during the last visit so lets try again. hope we have some luck at Good Luck. estimated damage? 11 of us paid about Rm77 (approx. S$32) each during the last trip. we shall decide what to do next while waiting for the lobsters to "crawl" up our table.

after lunch, instead of walking around the smallish town (nothing much to see anyway), lets make a short visit to Tg Pengelih jetty 18km west along the coast if time permits; that's where we disembark and clear customs if we take a bump boat across from Changi village. then whether its shopping at Giant skudai, Jusco at Bt Indah, or some other unknown random places we play by ear :p

return to sinkapor via option A (2nd link) or option B (causeway) depends on concensus. my personal preference is to return via 2nd link especially after the smoky-scratchy experience, even though causeway would be very much nearer to my CCK home. in any case, some riders should be going OTOT after the makan :lol: **sw9000 says> I might be heading up to Malacca for pasar malam and Chendol after this.

my friend's ex SW600 ever hit 190km/h.

my burgman 650 was already going at 185km/h but he still can slowly cut me...

btw hor, SW max torque (best cruising) at 6.5k rpm:

sw400 = 120km/h

sw600 = 130km/h

Max power at 8k rpm:

sw400 = 150km/h

sw600 = 160km/h

Anything above this is just stressing yr bike and testing your luck (1 stone on the road and you'll be superman?).

pushed me luck a little far just now... not good for health coz very stressful :nono:

felt very relieved when i finally arrived at the esso petrol kiosk with odo showing 398.2km. the other time my bike went dead was at 402km so i was like please pleaseeee don't die yet; machiam holding on to a bursting bladder and running for toilet... whahaha :lol:

anyway, topped up 15.7L of synegy 5000 and that gave FC of 25.36km/L.

have tried synergy 2000 & 8000, MY/SG shell, petronas, caltex... seems 5000 gives me the best mileage :thumb:

have you tried your tank's max range yet? :cheeky:

Haha..i was not that heng as you.

I still remembered nearly a year ago my SW run out of patrol after crossing the M'sian toll at second link. :cry: Need to cross the road to top up a bottle of patrol then walked back to the toll to my scoot.

YAh. I'm very comfortable at 130km/h but SG road limit is 90, so 110km/h-120km/h is still okay la.

don't like superman...:dozed:

Lobster very potent hor,so what is the grand finale?

Posted
grand finale? can join SW9000 chiong to melaka have chendo and then back to GP esso for satay if u want :cheeky:

Melaka.... sound interesting :)

Think I need to discuss with my brother first...

Cos this is his very first trip up north... and what I concern more is his safety first...

If going up to melaka... then what I worry more is the night riding part back...

Think most likely to give this a pass as I don't want to bring him so far up north for his very first trip... And also might be quite tired after a long day..

was looking for gadgets for my car (as usual lah, the porr-porr n blink-blinks... hahahaha) and came across this post which i tot some SWingers might be interested, especially those who want to use LEDs to replace the more power hundry lightings :cool:

imagine headlights + brake lights all go LED... lower drain on batt, more juice for sparkies and of course, greener bike (in theory) :lovestruck:

Headlights

white lights but without using HID... 18 LED halogen replacement

$68 per pair but 2 bikers can share... each $34

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/king_ziege/DSC04061.jpg

used in cars but think SW using H7 can use too... see pic

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/king_ziege/DSC04056.jpg

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/king_ziege/DSC04063.jpg

Recommended for WHITE headlight lovers but not HID supporter & FOG LIghts

- 100% WHITEST in the market

- Whiter than PhXXps DiaXXnD VisXXn

- Available in H1, H3, H4, H7, H8, H11, H13, 9005 and 9006 only

- Red, Blue, White, Yellow

- $68 per pairs

- FREE Delivery

brake lights

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/king_ziege/49LedsReverseandBrake.jpg

pilot lights

frankly, may be a bit expensive at $25/pair coz i'm now using normal $18/pair LEDs from motortiam ($10/pair also got). dunno whether its worth it but autobacs selling some LED makes for >$60 o_O

anyway, any idea how much is the voltage/watts for the LED headlight??

i looking at 35W or lesser type but able to give brightness like 55W and above..:angel:

anyway once u change all your lights to led esp signal, you need to change to electronic relay else your signal light won't blink....

But the light is so dim and unable to see the floor....... Mainly for cosmetics look only.... Tested and proven.....

Best is HID.... Or a new product call HIR bulb....

HIR about same bightness as HID but without the ballast.

But..... 100watt instead of normal 55watt.:angel:

Autobac can sell the LED bulb and not cheap.....(PIAA cost about $80 for a pair)

Pole light i still like the 3SMD high power LED.....(brought mine @ autobac for $70.00 per pair) Very bright and long lasting.(firestorm know. :angel:)
