i have a funny sqeaky sound at 60km/ml and disappear when i hit 70km/h (or the wind sound cover the funny sound)

if i'm not wrong, the sound is coming from the left back of my SW..

Sounds like clutch slippage , did u get yr mech to check most of the essential stuffs (spark plugs, belt, rollers, uclip, EO , EO filter, tyres) when u took over the swing ?

I am also experiencing noise from clutch assembly when I slow down towards traffic lights. With reference to speed somewhere 20Km/h to 30Km/h.

To counter this, you have to use ur wrist power.. throttle more...

 

I think it's common for SW.. cos after cleaning the clutch assembly area, it will still come back again after some time..

very common for silverwings because the bike is very heavy. clutch slippage can be solve without spending much. but not 1 time can solve. need a few tries.

50km drop is a too much.

If it happens suddenly, then normally should not be the air/fuel ratio. Even if engine out of syn also won't affect that much.

 

Any changes to bike performamnce other than FC? i.e. rpm?

Been like this for a few refuel?

 

Must check plugs, air filter, petrol leaks or leaking joints to/from the throttle bodies?

Clutch slippage is rather common on swing as mentioned by bigcow. Our bike is actually heavier than S4 and Fazer 1k iirc.

 

Found this post by hazmat_83 & i've gave it a try.

It works for me (1 attempted till now ), the only think i chg in the assembly is the Clutch Spring ( Malossi ).

Dont worry, Chong is very experience, he shld be able to solve yr problem.

I got worried and irritated by mine when i gotten my bike, it was very bad n loud especially when i pillion.

Now, even with pillion and traffic jams, my clutch no longer slip, period.

Only saw 2 SW park outside coffee bean.

So the swing i saw was u. We were having briyani further down when i saw u zoom pass.

 

Just hang around at Kopi bean next trip down, will move over after dinner.

went to ah chiong again to confirm the findings..

he say the sound is normal from the belt..

 

i gonna try the method suggested then..

btw, my batt seem to be weak too.. but has confirm the batt is a brand new piece in 3k before.. going to monitor further.. any suggestions?

you should park beside them and sound their alarm if they installed..
