going for my first inspection soon, didn't mod anything except change my pos light to blue color, can i jus paste a black tape over to cover e light during inspection? Anything else to note for e inspection?

if your's is stock and in good running condition, nothing more to look out for.

there is indeed a saying that "unauthorised lights" could be covered (and switched off) for the purpose of inspection. imo, if you use black tapes to cover the lens, you'ld have to make sure blue lights cannot be seen coming out (means bulbs are switched on). if you suay suay kenna a siow-on or "ngiaw" inspector, he is technically not wrong to fault that. why not temporarily change the T10 bulbs to white/yellowish ones or totally remove? only need to remove 4 screw and the W-shaped piece in front; your bulb is changed, you should already know how to.

 

inspection process is a very fast & simple one... tests are mainly for safety n road-worthiness, i.e. tyres condition, effective brakes (front & back separately), exhaust sound & emission levels, horn, all lights proper & functioning, head light focus, fore-aft alignment of the wheels/handlebar, chassis & engine nos., etc.

 

i did mine few weeks ago at STA Inspection (Boon Lay), arrived about 5.40pm (close at 6pm) and there was no queue. very simple procedures:

... park bike at designated station & pass key to inspector

... go to admin office and make payment (can use nets)

... collect receipt and go out and see the inspection in-progress

... once completed and ok, you'll get an inspection certificate

 

the inspectors were very friendly and polite. think mine may be that inspector's first SW as he asked me if my exhaust is original or aftermarket; told him its original and ok liow. also, he didn't know where to find the chassis and engine nos and i had to show him; bring the manual along, just in case. by about 6pm, i'm out on the road heading home :cool:

go to top right, click on "setting", then u see the menu on the left column, select "general setting", then scroll down and u'll the the date & time le. :cheer:

btw, my colleague juz help me unscrew & tighten back the balancer. tried on mainstand it doesnt vibrate. i'll see again omw home after work....

1 more thing... the designed holes oso rust le. like my fren de... :cry:

thanks scoo, well cos i saw some sp 150 their paintwork covered one of their headlights so i wonder can i jus temp cover my pos lights too.so on e safe side jus remove it ba.had to take half day leave cos their hour happen to be same as mine.

yoz elton.. juz remembered if u really wanted the H&B box i think u have to order the bracket 1st de, cos that time when i get mine, box have but no bracket i have to wait for around 2 to 3 week for the bracket to arrived before i could install the box, so i think if u order now around mid dec by the time u collect ur SW ur bracket n box is also ready le ba... if not for 2 to 3 week dun have box to ride wif de... :)

ya lor ya lor that's why i am slowly swaying towards the givi side.

I saw from the website Givi E55 Tech and E55 Maxia2. Whats the difference ah?

Is it just the colour? Cos tech has clear base reflectors with matt black box.
