Mmmm... the other way round, we mov-off at 9am go Lost World & hot spring (Tambun). Next day visit Gua Tempurung follow by historical buildings/places.

 

Yes, hotel confirmed. They e-mail an confirmed booking note.

 

Wild wild wet and hotspring open Fri & sat.

Suggest Friday go and check in Hotel then visit the Tambun WWW and hotspring.

At night can go pasar malam, makan, pub... and get laid.

 

Next day morning go visit Gua Temburung, waterfalls and all other temple caves.

 

Go home that time can also detour 3 hours take a ride to Fraser Hills look look see see...

Anyway, I'll be in Korea covering under layers of clothing... now is only 1 degree C in Korea.

GPS chipset using the SiRF Atlas-V dual Core ARMII is commonly used in other makes so its ok.

however, the more important things are:

* what navigation software is the unit is using... whether it is user friendly, route computation speed and accuracy, stability, etc.

* maps that the unit is/can using... details and accuracy, frequency of updates, POIs, etc.

* after sales support... warranty, helpdesk, etc.

 

X8 costs Rm399, works out to about S$167, shipping charges not included yet.

 

IMO, it may be better to get a 2nd hand garmin 255W which you can use MFM which is probably the best for "tri-nation" road trips. alternatively, can get the holux sets which run papago/galactio software and using SLA & MFM maps. buying something totally unknown is too much a risk.

I had made a purchase from ebay for one pair of white 30SMD 7443 brake light around two week ago, but until today haven deliver to me yet? :dot:

 

Referred to the silverwing technical corner (page 3, #147) updated by scoobydoo bro, we should take the "16mm wedge base" just can fit our bike, tio bo? The website i have went through before but din really mentioned the actual dimension for the bulb and so many option....so din order from there...

 

The reason i order from this person cos he got put the actual dimension for the bulb which i think is fulfill silverwing brake light requirement, so juz make a try and test test...

if u see earlier posts, plan is to depart Sg on 24 morning and return on 26 late afternoon/evening.

... LOTS OR MAKAN!!!

... maybe detour to Fraser's Hill on the way back

my personal preference... garmin but pay more lor

garmin is well established for Sg-My use, kinda won't go wrong and has RAM kits available (even for the 5" 1460).

holux is also quite decent running on papago/galactio & SLA/MFM.

other makes/models... no idea.

all the extra multimedia features are not important to me for a GPS
