Dear Silverwingers, is it difficult for a SW400 to maneuver in heavier traffic? I am riding a small agile scoot but upgrading soon and is worried that I might be banging into car mirrors.

Your attitude is either your best friend or worst enemy, your greatest asset or your greatest liability.

In my opinion, swing is definately not a squeezing bike. lol

Mainly is because of the weight not of the size, plus its not safe to do so. Most swing riders don't really squeeze while traffic is moving ba.

Thanks Elton. You follow the traffic behind cars in traffic jams?

What he trying to say is... silverwing is not a bike easy to squeeze here n there.... still can squeeze but is diff cos bike is bigger n heavy if compare to other scooter. Wat bro Ethan mentioned here is right, "NOT SAFE" to do so.... Cheers...

It's depend on your judgement.. You think can then squeeze on lo.. You think cannot then don't squeeze lo.. For me every morning the SLE always jam along woodlands ave 12 to lentor toward TPE or CTE.. With my judgement and skill, I mange to squeeze all the way to lentor.. So it's no a problem.. The bike still can squeeze..

Thanks bros. just want to hear ur opinions on squeezing thru traffic and what most silverwingers do. after handling the bike i was not confident but think its a matter of time, skill and confidence but i will be as safe as possible and try not to squeeze. even my small bike hit mirrors once a while. :faint:

any idea how much does a new SW400 cost now with the $1500 coe? i think today boon siew is close. no answer when i called.

Matter of practice and confidence which comes with time after riding it for a while. Mirrors is unlikely to hit saloon cars mirrors but is at the same height as some class 3 lorries. But if you don't see enough clearance, just stay behind lor, as it's also a matter of time before you get the space

When things happen is usually when people is over-confident of their skills.

Silverwing is a fantastic ride and its heavy and long. If you really need to squeeze my advice is to see if there is enough clearance anot.

If not, don't do it. Like a driver, have patience, afraid that u'll be late for work? Leave home abit earlier.

GT 400 at Mah last know when i checked is 17800 OTR.

As it comes with ABS and also is the japanese model that explains the price.

Check with ASPhoon on the pricing of the Swing for SWT400.

I got mine from them and so did a few members here.

Of course there are alot of shops who carries them like Bike Production etc recommended by a few bros here.

try to ask around shops of what they can offer and yes, SWT400 Machine price usually range from $14800 to $15500 depending where u get it from.

Also consider the interest rates per annum and compare which one has the more value for bucks.

Some offer low machine price but higher interest rates.

In alot of cases they might work out to the same.

Just my 2 cents worth.

"squeeze through" issue... all depends on individual la. for me is if its dry weather, i'll try to go in between and if its raining, mostly, infact most of the time, i follow behind. reason? i dun like to ride on the painted lines as its quite slippery.

as for timing issue, like wat elton said, leave home earlier lor. even going to be late, better be safe than sorry. its ALWAYS better to be late than never. we are riders, not racers. wana race, go to the proper track.
