Does LAB install the spark plug for you or you install it yourself?

I took the normal ones coz the price was around 20+. It used to be much cheaper.

Was thinking about the Maxima when it came out and yes the Motul is overpriced...:p

Did you try the engine treatment from Maxima as well?

Is Ah Choong the one formerly from FS? I go to FS most of the time. Have been supporting Kenny since the start of FS.

But ever since Ah Choong left, the other mechanic are not as attentive, though they still does the job.

So was wondering if this is the same guy!

i buy things from LAB and then DIY or get it fixed at trusted workshops. LAB has workshop at kallang but i dun trust their workmanship :p

dun think our engine needs special treatment like eo additives (usually friction modifiers) but i did flush my engine after leaving it asleep for 3+ months. but i occasionally use FP60 to clean the ignition system cos bike is grossly underutilized.

yes, Ah Choong was from FS. he rented half the shop-floor from Michael (Kallang Cycle is actually Michael's shop, not Ah Choong's but many pp got it wrong) and started on his own after leaving FS. when Kallang Cycle moved out from that property, he "officially" opened his own workshop called A.C. Motor at serangoon north (present place).

yes again, the mechanics at FS after Ah Choong left were less than desirable (imo) for my standards, until Ah Hwa came along. he was new, learnt well and still learning but i am happy with his work effort and service attitude. that's why i bother to go back for the usual/standard servicing/maintenance other than the convinience :)

most of our kakis go to Ah Choong, i used to be a regular when he was still at kallang. he is very familiar with our SW so going to him is kinda "hard to go wrong" thingy; i'm not saying he is best or perfect cos he is not without blunders too. the thing many of us like is he is very helpful, friendly and "chin-chye" when it comes to charges with kakis (i guess most workshops are also like that). another thing is, he does many add-ons which the other 2 don't usually don't, e.g. hazard lights, LED undercarriage, blink-blinks, front fork modifications, etc.

as for the 恩恩怨怨 between the various mechanics/shops, it is advisable not get involved. everyone has their own side of the stories and we're not there to judge... we are there to service our bikes.

good job, reasonable price... ok liow :thumb:

Scoobs, what's the plan for brekkie?

Wanna try the famous KIANG KEE Bah Kut Teh since it is on the way?

Kiang Kee Bah Kut Teh...

GPS at N01 49.662' E103 57.504'

That's 11km further up north past Kota Tinggi and 51km from JB Custom.

Should take below 1 hr to reach there.

Can we ETD earlier, maybe 8.30 or even 8am?

8.30am - meet Shell JB Custom.

9.15am (to 10.15am) - Kiang Kee Bah Kut Teh.

11am - Desaru beach walkabout? *Any alternative stopover for suggestion?

12.15pm - Lobster lunch

1.30pm - Sg Renggit buy cookies?

2.15pm - RTH or Proceed to Malacca

Malacca:

4pm - Petrol at Machap RSA/meet the rest?

5.45pm - Baba House check-in.

But hor... if the gap between breakfast and lunch is too near then no choice must eat earlier at JB Sentosa area.

Hi bro if I just want to eat lobster how much I need to pay?

u mean pay for the whole table... or just yourself? :cheeky:

actually depends on what we order... the last trip when each have ½+½=1 lobster plus other dishes/drinks, each paid about Rm75 (approx. S$32). lucky we not ordering the vegetarian lobster, else maybe cost more cos vegetarian lobsters are very "rare" thus more expensive
