juz a reminder, guys:

- check for the manufacture date. it may be an old stock which has been kept for years.

- see carefully, check if there is any sign of drop/hit on the surface.

- refrain from buying used helmets even u see super cheap arai/shoei. u never know if it has been drop before.

- for used helmets, interior sponge has oredi accustom to the previous owner's headshape. for over a certain period of time

 

I remember Fusionjaz shared a video on dot testing here b4. have a look and feel the fear.

Today tried the new helmet... quite good for the ventilation.... i can said is good but not as good as Arai for sure (I wear Arai full face b4 for 2-3 times back msia, after sell away liao ) The cushion is really good, comfortable and helmet is very light cos is plastic shell, but is ok i like it. The dislike for this helmet tink is the wind noise is quite lound, maybe is ventilation too good bah? For the paint quality and visor still dunno, but cant request much for $150 deal liao.

 

For the date of production haven check yet, but so far my open face usage is abt 2 years++ only... I am not worry abt the safety for this helmet, as got PSB approval, dun think LTA take our life for pray pray mah?

True enough, can hear the wind sound... Overall the helmet is very good. Feels shiok when u feel the air rushing pass throught yr head. Ha ha..

I tried e hyperX. Lightweight, feels tough. But I need to either remove e chin bar inorder to wear, or remove my glasses to wear the helmet. So not suitable for me. No choice liao had to only choose flip up over the new versions of helmets....

i tried the longway at regina few weeks back... it is indeed the lightest among the flipups i've tried (caberg konda, nolan n103/n102s, zeus zs3000, hjc is-max, etc).

 

imo, agv helmets are not for everyone, not becos of price but due to shape and insufficient ear recess. maybe my head is rounder or ears are bigger, i find both my agv fullface (sold after only few wears) and the longway rather uncomfortable as they squeeze my ears quite badly. with the legs of my spectacles in between, long distance trips will be an issue. i had headache and painful ears during my trip to thailand with an agv.

 

unless they come out with something different, i'm staying away from agv

 

imo, findings:

* konda... tried many units at regina (almost bought) but couldn't find a fitting/comfortable one. gave up on their quality control.

* nolan n103/n102s... comfortable but shell very big, i looked like ET; small body big head !

* zeus zs3000... cheap and "convertible", but lower quality and quite heavy.

* hjc is-max... felt heavy, didn't try putting on cos motoworld has no stock.

* nolan n43... lightweight and convertible although chin bar is a little too close, gotta remove when putting on. a little concerned about the negative review from current owner

* caberg hyper-x... yet to see/try

i tried yesterday and felt that hyperX ear spare is better than N43 leh, but both can't fit me well... maybe i got bigger ear than Chairman.... potential become loan shark? haha
