Van in Samui for 1 day land tour only.

1 day is around 1200thb rental, which is almost equivalent to $150thb each kupkia (abt 8 bikes).

 

Hatyai = use our bike for 1 day can liao (go waterfall, temples, beach, etc).

The rest of the time... tut tut around town is ok.

Booked Hatyai Hansa JB Hotel 4x Twin rooms.

Distance to town center about same as President... but this one got big swimming pool and gym. Can laze around if don't want to go fight water war the whole day.

Anyway, tut tut is available and convenient.

And no worries about road blocks if wanna ride out to Songkhla Town for morning celebration parade (7am).

What's the difference between the BMW & stock handle grip?

Stock grip is so skinny you need extra effort to twist it.... waste energy.

BM grip is wider and allows the LAB throttle rocker to be properly attached (for cruising).

What is Parallel Twin?

 

 

The Silver Wing uses a parallel twin engine (2-cylinder engines are commonly known as twins) where both pistons move up and down together, parallel to each other but on opposite strokes.. i.e. when one is on the compression stroke, the other is exhausting; every revolution you have a power stroke from alternating cylinders.

Because the pistons move together, balancers are required to counter the weight shifts within the engine. Otherwise, the pistons will be "kicking" the engine up and down, causing lots of vibrations.

The word parallel twin/inline twin is referring to the arrangement of combustion chamber nothing to do with the firing sequence.

 

In fact, the silverwing firing sequence is technology of the past. The new parallel twin/inline twin firing sequence is 270 degree apart which yield smoother operation. The Super Tenere and coming NC700x are using 270 degree parallel twin/inline twin engine.

No understand lah. As long as SW remains 'smoothest' and 'quietest' than those above can liao.
