Michelin Pilot Power Pure SC

New with SW sizes. Anyone seen or used it already?

Good for those who don't lean much and those who lean a lot into corners :thumb:

Looked really nice. When it is coming to SG???

Also, depends a lot on riding patterns. Highway at 90km/h will be very different from streetfighting from Upper Thomson to Queensway. Solo-ride will be very different from two-up riding.

take whatever the manufacturers say with a chunk of salt... marketing always say good things nia :p

many scooterists have found the pilot sport to be skiddish on wet, guess michelin made some "improvements" and thus the new SC series.

SWingers in US have already tried it and from their feedback, think i'ld still give it a miss...

maybe someone in Singapore wanna try and give review... maybe our tarmac here is better than those roads in US

I have had them on my Swing for a few weeks now- not super-impressed with them. I was kind of hoping that they would release something similar to the City Grips or the Gold Standard type tread, but this is the only game in town right now for Michelin on the silver wing.

I can tell you that the bike seems to skid a bit on hard stops, which my IRC stock tires never seemed to do (as worn and dry-rotted as they were). Not that they're bad tires, but I just don't like the tread pattern and wish for a more wet-weather friendly tread.

I have about 1500 miles on them now, we'll see how long they last.

A nice thing about the Silverwing, is you've used basically the same bike for a number of years. You have a history that other Silverwing owners can draw on. Luckily, your bike takes the same size tire that mine does and I can draw on your experiences too.

The Michelin Pilot Sport SC is less expensive than the Pirelli Diablo. I know the Diablo works well in rain and wet pavement. It would be nice if the Michelin did too. If I rode in occasional rain, I wouldn't worry about it. I can adjust my riding for a tire that doesn't perform in rain for the occasional ride. But when you live in an area where it either has rained, is raining, or is about to rain...wet tire performance is a deal breaker.

that goes without saying... too many variables to list mah; engine oil la, wrist power la, petrol la, weather condition la, traffic jams la... cit tua toooo

btw, my riding pattern remained unchanged, still plying the mostly expressways, still riding alone, still as gentle, if not more gentle cos more kiasi nowadays. probably loose more on evaporated fuel cos riding only 1-2 times a week :p

Hey guys any idea what's the weight for these stock rollers?

Just gt them from everfit motor together with the new clutch pads..

http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m577/sanjason88/b0ce91b6.jpg

Have u found out weights of the rollers?

Posted

Used to be 82km when the first bar gone, now only 76km...I just changed engine oil and coolant. Wondering what's the problem...

We can get the cheapest belt, rollers and clips at everfit motor?? I think ACM charge $35 for labour if we bring all the parts...

yo whyzee, i'm still able to get the usual installer download from MFM, no need to go Garmin... need to log in though.

try this URL

think the update at Garmin webby is for NT maps which covers SG, MY & Brunei... no coverage for Thailand.

If cannot turn the key then it is jammed due to rust or dirt or...

If can turn but nothing happens then maybe the cable inside is disconnected.

Can't remember clearly but I think the access to unlock is via the right side with a long screw driver.

Alternatively, look for the expert Mr Ah Choong.
